  1. Name plates for cubicle walls...

We use the adhesive pins all the time, they do break once in a while, but they don't cost that much. We do anywhere from 20-100 nameplates a month for Wells Fargo, and we use the pins for all of them. I am not sure where the boss gets them, but I can find out. They look like this photo, I...
  2. Shadow Question

I am not familiar with Flexi at all, I have never used it, so this may be a waste. There are different types of shadow effects, Drop (like what Flexi is doing in your first pic), Shade (like the other two pics) and Perspective (kind of like shade, but with a bit of warp). Anyway, in Omega...

Mosh beat my by a second
  4. 12" Vinyl

Wow, those would work great in my CriCut! Just kidding, but seriously like the others said, ebay. The CriCut moms will be all over it.
  5. Operating system for OMEGA 2.6.1

I don't believe it will, but I am not 100% on that. I know when we upgraded from Win XP to Win 7, we also upgraded to the latest version of Omega from 2.6.1. The new version is better and is not an outrageous price to upgrade, just the fact that there are layers in the new version is worth it...
  6. Desperately need advice on logo

I think you need to use an & instead of a N. If I did not know who you were or what you did, when I see DNA it makes me think of the genetic DNA we are all made of.
  7. font help please

Just looking at it, looks like it is in the Avant Garde family.
  8. I can't believe that ,,,!!??

Check out http://shop2012.yellotools.us/ Go to the bottom and click on the 2012 catalog. Look at page 82 The Treemax Six Gun. I would love to have something like this, so I could just rotate it to whatever I needed and just roll it into the machine right from the rack. I could build...
  9. Need a new setup soon

If you are thinking about switching to PC then I would have to suggest looking at Signburst PC's. As stated above he is a merchant member here. I am running his Inferno and it rocks. I do all design work on it, run a 30" Graphtec, a Gerber Edge FX along with a 15" plotter, and also run...
  10. new concession trailer

Are you going to have it ready for the Illinois State Fair? If so, I will have to check it out when it is up here in Springfield.
  11. Large format print resolution

Design at 720ppi at 1/10th scale. Then when you rip, scale it to 1000 percent and your print will be at 72dpi, the minimal acceptable resolution for printing a wrap so that you get acceptable results, and acceptable performance when designing and printing it.
  12. Here is an easy way to display your installed fonts

    There is also http://www.wordmark.it
  13. How do they do this ?

Not sure if it is this or not, but something to check out. http://www.awninginnovations.com/WhatsNew/
  14. Huge wall wrap using PhotoTex, couple of questions....

google - wall paper double cut, it will show you what to do and how to get the butt seam. Easier than me trying to explain. As far as the wall showing through, if you are not printing the entire surface or leaving areas white, the wall will show through if it has color to it. I did a light...
  15. mural with phototex + cut acrylic

Are you wanting to apply a full sheet of acrylic over it, or cut letters and/or logo? I would think you would want to apply the PhotoTex to the wall and then stud mount the letters or logo to the wall. I would not tape or glue anything to the PhotoTex for fear that it would pull away from the...
  16. Signburst

Casey is a great guy and his computers are awesome. He recently saved us. It was our first computer from him, but it will not be our last.
  17. Reflective Road Signs

If you want the lettering to be reflective, you will have to get the matching vinyl as to the blanks that you order. Grimco will also do custom reflective signs, so you just draw it up and send it to them and it comes to you looking good. That is what we do. I email a lady and she does the...
  18. how do you hold up your material roll?

If you are talking about material for digital printing, we use velcro straps. All of the various supply houses have their own type. If it is material that is just cut vinyl, we use 1" wide transfer tape. It will still leave some residue if left on to long, but you can just wipe it off.
  19. Versaworks Rip stuck at 20%

Are there a bunch of gradients or transparencies? If so, try what Mainframe said about exporting as a jpeg.
  20. Installing vinyl on a shipping container

Depending on what they are doing with the containers you could just apply your vinyl to a panel substrate and screw that to the container. If that is not an option, Cajun312 has it right. Stretch the graphics horizontally and apply up and down over the channels and it should be ok, as long as...
