Greetings! Has anyone any knowledge of using some kind of powder between decals to enable temporary decals to be stuck over existing decals, and then cleanly removed afterwards? French chalk? Sounds a bit risky if the temporary decals release during a game?
Greetings! We need to bond some small acrylic letters to brushed silver ACP. The letters are too small to get a stud or screw fixing - any suggestions as to a suitable adhesive? The sign will be exterior.
TIA
Thanks for the responses. The computer has a i5 processor and 16gb of ram, Win7 Professional. I'll check the autosave setting. Interesting comment about the hard drive - it's just odd that it only seems to be in Coreldraw?
Greetings! I've noticed when using X5, sometimes the computer will be non-responsive (says "not responding") at top of the screen for a few seconds, before carrying on. It seems to happen on any task, for example going to click on the create rectangle button it will fail to respond momentarily...
If it's the part that says "Amanda's Baby Sprinkle" and the date, it appears that these are interactive form fields which could be causing you the issue. Don't know if it helps, but here's a copy including all the lettering
We've used latex paint with good success - easy to work with as long as you're not looking for a glossy finish. Assuming you're using a foamed pvc like komacel or similar, the biggest issue we find is the edges - the porous nature doesn't give a great surface for the paint.
I'm convinced it's a weirdness between the printer and X5. The same file printed via X3 comes out fine, as well as via Illustrator.
Anyhow, after a bit of tinkering I solved the issue using the Canon XPS driver instead of the regular Canon one - just in case anyone else has the same problem.
Thanks - but no, definitely not that. Even creating a simple test page produces the weirdness. If I have two identical lines of type, set one to black (C0,M0,Y0,K100) and the other to white (C0,M0,Y0,L0) they both print black!
Greetings! For internal use, we quite often print to our black & white laser rather than the color printer. Using Corel X5, it's coming out weird. For example a black rectangle with white text over, prints out as a grey dithered box with black text? Printing the same thing from another...
Greetings! I wondered if someone could help me understand Font Navigator? I understand it 'loads' fonts for the duration of Corel, and avoids permanently bogging down Windows Fonts folder with excessive amounts of fonts. However, when you re-visit the Corel file at a later point you have to...
Not having a suitable set of scales at work - any idea roughly the weight of a full roll of 54" printable vinyl? I'm not very good at judging weights...
Greetings!
On our 'utility' signs, we usually place a small decal on the back and mark it with a date and a job number, for easy reference if the customer needs a re-order. However, we mark with a regular Sharpie, and it doesn't last very well. Is there an industrial long-life version out...
