Yes that is Roland in CA that I talked to and said have to pay for phone support. Engraver was bought from them, printers were not (No local engraving dealers in our area, at least when we bought it 6 or 7 years ago).

Yes, used the steps in the manual to pump out the ink. We needed 4 cleaning cartridges (one for each color). Then you just go thru the normal setup to install the ink back in the printer after its in the new location. We have done this 3 times actually and never had a problem. 2 up steep steps...

We have had to "stand" one on end (sp-300v) to move down steps and around tight corners. Pumped out all ink, and then refilled once moved. Had no trouble. I think you can do this without the dealers help. Is it under a warranty still? That might change things if that will affect the warranty...

You should just be able to remove the "c clip" on the shaft that the roller rolls on. then remove the shaft and the pinch roller can be taken out and replaced. Slide the shaft back thru the new roller and out the other side and put clip back on. Careful when removing the clip, they can fly away...

Yes, you can. You should be able to just update the version you have to the current version. (yes free) Just use the update option in versaworks or download the updates you need to bring yours up to date.
