Check your RIP - don't know about ColorBurst - will check out my RIP if it supports GS. If you don't hear from me then the answer is no. But any RIP worth anything should have the option to split the channels. I have my 9880 running in CMYK - the other four carts are filled w cleaning solution...

Just a thought - I hear a lot about problems w green etc - once you get the thing up and running, just print in CMYK mode only - been doing that forever, nobody told me it's not good enough - I'm talking about 9xxx series Epsons bit it should work on your machine also. Rubo

You have a printer? Just stick some wrap paper in it and see if you can print on it. ??

Actually gold is not a color - it's rather function - of light, sheen, reflection - if you print "gold" it's not going to look like gold - it will be just flat color of some yellowish hue - from the other hand if you do gold, you'll have to decide if you want to incorporate 3d look w flat...

don't bother with firmware - it will give you more headache than you need - start w simplest thing available - those sensors are flimsy, you can bend the tongues just by changing the cart - check them first - pull the cart out and use a flashlight to see if everything's kosher back there. Rubo

you might have a bad cart sensor - they go for about $10, you'll have to get to the back of cart assembly - can't find the right word :banghead::banghead: but hope you will get there. Good luck! Rubo

Glad could help. And the powder coat works beautifully over the print. Go with pigment inks - dye inks will burn. Just try it - you'll never look for anything else. Rubo
