Exposed too, but no matter how many I have there isn't one in sight.
Years ago I was a film assembler, using medical scalpels on an angled glass surface. Drop one or let it slide off the table and it always fell point down. I had a few close calls and a lot of masking tape used as band-aids.
This thread is great!
I too have been toying with the idea of a CNC router. While I can see it could later become a product that I could sell, I'm interested in it from a hobby point of view. I have been looking at lower end machines knowing that if it did become a product I would upgrade as a...
A warranty is insurance, Insurance needs to make a profit so on average they pay out less than they take in. The premiums will reflect that.
I was in an electronics store and they offered me extended warranty on a pack of AA batteries for 40 cents!
Only insure things you can't afford to...
nope, have done it wet and dry. I was mounting to acrylic and was getting thousands of bubbles (no idea why), went wet and solved it.
See the rules are only guides, but you have to know when and how you can break them.
It's not that it was screwed up, it's how it was fixed that counts.
Good that they stepped up, but how on earth did they wet install laminated perf?
you only do that once to know...so I guess this was his first.
Should be able to produce those on my VP540 with perf cut on banner.
24" cheap banner with a perf every so often.
Cost however is the issue. Looks like someone is just printing plastic on a four colour web press. Any idea of cost per roll?
Of course after a loss of a pet the first though is to make the corpse into a toy.
Following that you can turn the recently departed relatives into furniture.
He honestly thinks the world is interested in his cat copter. No they are interested in the Freak that does this to his pet.
Yes, Sounds very similar to my setup. Gigabit router (although my VP540 and rip are currently only on 10/100), Get a router or switch with plenty of ports on the back. Get a NAS external drive that has some kind of backup going on (I mirror the 2 drives internally, halves capacity though so I...
Gosh I get to say this twice today...
the best lessons are the most expensive.

if people like us, savy experienced internet aware users aren't sure, how do people like my 75 year old mom use the internet?
there is a lot recently about a "Free Internet", but what use is it if you can't trust it?
All discrimination whether for or against minorities breeds resentment. As a middle aged, self employed white guy I hate being at the bottom of the pile. I hate never getting a tax break, being too busy scraping a living to spend all my time screaming at government to give cash to my special...
Hmm humidity? My air conditioning may have some part to play, but I'm still sure its something mechanical. I'm using Oragard 210 lam on most things, great with a laminating machine not so good with a big squeegee. Plus I have two billboards to laminate in 4ft strips. Not looking forward to that.
I was going to get one, but I cut aluminum composite and half inch Gator so I went for the big KeenCut. Did not regret getting a much better machine.
Cutting is fask and accurate, and with Gator around 100 bucks a sheet messing a cut costs.
Gets my vote too. I would give them the option they want too but at an additional (not full) price. I would also let them know why, you have to be happy in the end it is your goodwill too.
I have a Royal Sovereign 1400 Cold laminator, had it about 4 years now. Just recently is has begun to wrinkle longer runs, it will start off okay, but after a few feet all along the width of the roller the feed will begin to distort finally ending in creases.
I have tried adjusting the roll...
