If it's the same White GRC-61 that I'm thinking about, I really doubt that there is any kind of firmware update for that cutter. But you can check GCC's website and see if that might have anything. Any way you can try the cutter/Flexi on a XP machine? Worst case is call...

  8. Oracal not clear in their installation tips- need help

We have had nothing but problems with the 3628. Never tried it laminated but it seems like it did not have enough adhesive to hold itself on the wall and because you contour cut to the edge with lam, it might be a even bigger headache. We were told to leave up to a 1/4" of White material...

good luck with cammtech..... They re-aligned the head and did some service work on our old PC-60, cost about $500 for the parts, labor and shipping back to us. Well everyone knows how careful UPS is, when we got the machine back from camm tech it was banding worse then when we sent it. Long...

  11. Vinyl cutter size?

We have two older SW GRC-61's (24"), a 24" Roland and a SW Q series 54" (graphtec) cutter, as long as you know how to set up panels in your cutting software the 24" will work fine. You can go larger but do you really want to lay down a 30", 48" or even a 60" wide piece of vinyl? Plus most vinyl...

  14. How do you find good employees?

OK, thanks again for all the input. I did download the wonderlic test and passed it around the shop. And yes I took the test myself (no comment) but I was rushed! But it is a very good starting point for sifting through the rubbish. I know we will have to find someone in the next month or so...
  15. Cutter Making 2 Passes

Double, no triple check that you have removed any strokes on the image. I know that in flexi sometimes it will add a stroke, for some unknown reason. Even though you might not be able to see the stroke on your screen, the cutter is only doing what you are telling it what to do.

Thanks for the input guys. Colorado: We still have two employees and the one girl, she can do just about anything in the shop. The other guy is not so fast at cutting and or printing but he does have his place in the shop and does well at it. Ya know i really could not believe the BS people...
