  4. how to make 4X8 backlit table

Welded Steel frame, build reflective box under it, fluorescent lights, flood coat bottom side of glass with translucent white vinyl, use thick glass. Conference table, light table and cutting table, why would you cut on anything besides a thick piece of glass anyways? My 4x8 is 3/4" thick but...
  5. Bicycles...............

Also I found the model that I wanted and then ended up finding it for 1/2 online. I like shopping local but 1/2!
  6. Bicycles...............

Make sure that you buy a bike that fits properly and have someone fit you that knows what the hell they are talking about and not just a salesman. I think that the biggest diff between a $100 bike and a $500 bike is the componentry, brakes actually will lock up tires if so desired, shifts are...
  7. Pinch Wheel Lines!?!?!

The two wheel option is on my Roland, sorry. I used to think that it was because of the pressure that had been applied made that area more or less receptive to ink but I think that it might be static. What is your static like? Taken any precautions to mitigate it? I use ultraflex and the...
  8. entrance mat with logos

I have found that when you use a stencil like that it is best to spray it from a distance and from above and let the fine droplets fall into place instead of getting blown into place.
  9. code ordinance

Tell them you are going to sue if they allow semi trucks in town or uhaul trucks that have graphics on them. We have an ordinance like that here as well. Vehicle can not sit for more than 24hrs and can't have specifics like prices, promotions...
  10. Pinch Wheel Lines!?!?!

I have had to use just the outside rollers and pre-roll the media off the main roll as it prints. I think that it could be a static issue.

    bump, anyone else?
  12. How long for a design?

Also (and this is meant as constructive criticism), you have an incorrect word usage on your web page, replace 'suite' with 'suit'. You have a site that is advertising graphic art but it looks a bit like a template that you would start with. A little attention to the design of the page would...
  13. How long for a design?

You definitely have a problem. Sub that out and a true professional will charge you $12
  14. Cutting Mats

I am using a 3/4" piece of glass and it will last me a lifetime. Much more feel or feedback through the blade and it cost less than a matt.
  15. Bright white or (Alpine) reflective?

Most reflective has a grey or silver hue to it but we are trying to match some reflective that is very white in color. Anyone know what this material might be?
  16. the last 4 days....

Sounds like a great job! I only wish that I could work the short hours you do though.
  17. Roland Eco Sol Max ink replacement

I know a roland tech with lots of exp on the west coast, he does not service my equipment or sell me anything but when discussing 3rd party ink he said that I should never run any of it and the a majority of his major repairs were a direct result of these inks. Ink is cheap anyway.
  18. Big decision

Sounds like you should buy 100 printers (all related to your printer sales business) import them tax free and sell them making a killing! :-)
  19. Knifeless tape

To me it is like a house painter that never learns how to use a brush and masks everything, I can cut and roll most rooms by the time a "painter" gets his masked and it looks as good. There is a skill to getting a feel for razor depth, using different angles and freehanding a straight line. I...
  20. Best vector for the $$

I used to use Corel way back in the late '80's early '90's but when I re-entered the graphics world a couple of years ago I went with an Adobe suite and have not regretted it; it seems to be the industry standard and plays well with it's counterparts. The best program will probably be the one...
