Now that I think about it it wasn't thick, that was another lam. This one was Arlon
  2. anti graffiti laminate?

I haven't used much but I have been able to buy it from GSG by the yard. It is quite thick and is much more resistant to the few things that we tested. I don't remember it being all that expensive. I would definitely use it in an area prone to vandalism.
  3. Trouble gluing polymetal to mdo

We are having almost no humidity here, 12 hrs dry time looking for light bond, did scuff one panel and not another and there does seem to be a slight difference. I am surprised though as it doesn't recommend scuffing smooth surfaces (although it always makes sense) and it says that is is good...
  4. Trouble gluing polymetal to mdo

Having trouble gluing dibond to mdo/omega... using PL1 premium, liberally and then spreading with a notched trowel putting two panels together and then weighting them. Not getting great results. Am I missing something?
  5. Cutting Table question

We have 3/4" glass on our table and my wife was walking up and down it for 20 minutes last night getting two sheets of glued substrate to adhere to one another. You can drop a hell of a lot on a piece that thick without breaking it. You have a lot more control on glass because it doesn't give...
  6. Cutting 14" coro circles

You could try a circle tool on a roto-zip
  7. Easy Banner Recycling

When I have big mistakes or large banners to recycle I use them as drop cloths in my other business or give them to folks to do the same.
  8. Static when Touching Printer - how to remove..

If you have a concrete floor you can always work in your bare feet. I have seen printing presses where they hang strung garland like the crap that comes on a string and some folks wrap around a Christmas tree. This foil is hooked to something that is grounded and lies across the media path...
  9. my 3000th post

See, I have over 500 posts and I really have nothing worth saying. Apparently my loquacious nature translates to the typed word as well.
  10. my 3000th post

I would re-post leaving the 's' off of look.
  11. Now this shows some folks use the heads!

    What do you mean?
  12. Orajet 3268 wall wrap

I think that it all has as much to do with sheen as it does texture, the higher the gloss the higher the adhesion. Gloss is like glass and flat is like a bunch of ridges like fine sandpaper. Go try to stick some to glass and then try to stick some to sandpaper, you get it.
  13. I hate working weekends!

Honey Badger don't give a ... Jill is like the honey badger. Don't like to work weekends? Last day off I had was in September, seriously.

  16. new SP-540i on the way - hoping to get vibrant colors

Hey Guys, I like the Roland Color System but how do you get by with such a limited amount of colors? I just wish that they had an expanded swatch library, or maybe they do and I just don't know it?
  17. Transfer Tape Applicator Needed

big squeegee, why would you use anything else?
  18. etchmark question

150% markup, sounds like what most stores make reselling a product; a product that they don't have to go out to site, prep surfaces, install, eat their mistakes, use years of experience to apply, deal with the rest of the roll that they now own, eat any application errors, warranty, bill. Just...
  19. Looking to buy laminator

Why not just run a big squeegee? I just laminated a 54" x 150' roll of material with one last week. It took me longer than a laminator would have but the prints came out wonderfully. That being said, my new laminator arrives tomorrow, literally. I still probably won't use it for any small...
