Probably a mid-range printer like a Vutek. The machines are great, but EFI is not fun to deal with. Everything is a damn hassle. The techs are pretty good. Things may have changed since I dealt with them - may be worth looking at.

Yes. Regular foam core is going to curl with vinyl mounted to it. It simply isn't rigid enough to prevent vinyl shrinkage from flexing the material.

Rather than using a regular paper capped foam core, use Gatorboard or something similar. It has a much stiffer cap that does not curl, and it's still reasonably priced.

Did it happen to be an ftp situation? If that happens to be the problem, it would happen to both files if they were uploading at the same time.

I've had that happen. Usually happens with a file that was uploaded to an ftp server, and the connection got dropped before the file was finished uploading.

They both had a terrible penalties game. It made it easy to have time to mix cocktails and have a smoke without missing anything, but man! Were there any plays without a flag?!

The file is already typeset. "Essentially" he's asking someone who has the font installed to open it, outline the font and send it back. Splitting hairs here, but the process does not involve typesetting. :wink:

Place the file in a new Illustrator file. Flatten transparency with "convert text to outlines" checked at 100% vector balance.

Hate to be a thread pirate, but this topic suits the question. Anyone make an 8'x10' display from one of these suppliers that worked well?

One solution could be to create it slightly larger, then mask it with the text outline path in Illustrator to get rid of the edge pixels.

Latex saturated paper. It might be thicker than you're looking for, but it stands up to moisture & water quite well.
