You should turn off the green switch every night. Otherwise, the machine won't do it's sleep cleaning. I think the OP was asking about turning off the main power which is a no-no.

Yes, flattening will turn your file into a raster file. What version of Flexi are you using? My initial thought is to export your CS3 file as an AI v8 and then try importing it into Flexi. Let us know your progress.

I think you meant to say that PS is a raster program, which it is. But you can create and export vector paths in Photoshop using the steps Mainframe outlined. Also, newer versions of PS have some rather sophisticated vector capabilities in the way of Smart Objects, etc.
