  2. Logo Opinions

not digging how designs is cutting red into your NSD ... are you attempting to add red tape to the process of getting work done effectively? are you trying to say your designs are dangerous? they are after all cutting your business in half ... what is the other half of your business if the...
  3. Da-da-da-dum... It's official! Critique my logo?

If you don't want to simplify and improve your logo ... only suggestion I can throw out there is that it's lacking a ladder. draw your logo by hand. for the love of all that is unholy, from a screen printing background you can spot good from bad easily ... you have 3 typefaces that do...
  4. Removing Vinyl with Scraper Blades

Oh, don't take it as WON'T do it as CAN'T do it. I will take your blase attempt to assume I'm closed minded to a technique which is retarded as you further more being a complete moron. And congrats on cutting on vehicles ... hope you like further promoting the negative side of this...
  5. Will this hold???????

anchors are the way to go, as others have stated go heavy duty. I probably would have done a stand off every 18" to 24" to better distribute the weight, but that is just me doing the over engineering thing .... make sure you get a stud or three on the top row (more centered the better) and...
  6. Removing Vinyl with Scraper Blades

I will NEVER use a blade to remove graphics on paint. And I certain will NEVER call it a good or even half butted good idea. it is a poor substitute for a proper removal technique and does not take into account micro bumps in the paint from imperfections in the painting process nor does it...
  7. Need advice on Vinyl

Ahh, just use oracal 651 with any old laminate, it doesn't matter. ... trailers are flat anyways. :peace!: I'm kidding btw. My fave is just your standard 3m control tac with a matching lam, but others on this board have swore by some of the oracal cast vinyls. just find what you work...
  8. contour cut mags

you can cut them with your plotter (well really scoring is easier, you can 'pop' the graphics template out afterwords ... or just hand cut them after you install the vinyl, just include some way of having a score line to hand cut (with a ruler on straight cuts, hand cut on round). 10 pairs...
  9. Removing Vinyl with Scraper Blades

~Disclaimer~ This is ment to be offensive. You are an idiot. You are one of the same idiot vinyl jockeys that strip signs off with a razor blade because you 'know' how to do it safely ... but really you are an idiot that with a strong wind will ruin someones paint job. Idiot. I hope you...
  10. Will this hold???????

silly question since allen did suggest it ... DID you look for studs when you quoted the job? and why so little amount of standoffs for such a large piece of plexi? and how thick is the plexi? Is this routed plexi or square piece of plexi?
  11. Copy right or trademark logos illegal

Ouch, one of THOSE days huh? ... I had that sort of day Monday when I saw a logo I proofed out pulling into the supermarket right across from me on my customers vehicle. Asked him when would be a good time to send over my invoice on the final logo design since that is what he wanted ... he...
  12. google drive

Awesome, I can stop carrying around all my flash drives now. Had a few cloud services before ... didn't seem to do anything really well ... played with this for 4 minutes and was able to transfer 3 of my 5 flash drives with full folder drops. awesome stuff.
  13. newest employee at the shop

Congrats on the forceful ejection of a writhing larva, may it be a boon to your wallet in exchange for joy.
  14. STripe Kit for Holden VE

you're not going to find a pattern for that. most likely the one you see in that photo is from a mustang kit that has been bashed together, and thus why the angle of the strips when paired up don't flow smoothly ... it's ment for a more angled hood. again. stop wasting time looking for it...
  15. Pop Up Tent with Graphics

I was just going to say that move in media sends our shop fliers. products look good, so they are worth a look. little bit on the more costly side though from what I've seen of pricing.
  16. Another cartoon project.

I agree about the leg, if it's supposed to be viewed in perspective, the ratio's will still be similar. remember, the shin's will still be the same, the let has to go somewhere. I've attached a captain morgan logo that accomplishes this easily. follow rules of proportions and if anything...
  17. Chrome?

So ... dude asked if there was something other than a 2 year chrome and silly me, I assumed he was asking about cut vinyl for a customer that wanted 'sick' graphics. I've used convex before, great material, but needs to be laminated or it scratches and burnishes just as badly as polyester...
  18. STripe Kit for Holden VE

Seriously? just take some measurements, and make those damn stripes yourself. you don't need a kit if you're even 10% competent at your job. that is probably 10 minutes of measuring, 10 minutes of laying out and 20 minutes of cutting. you probably wasted twice that looking for a kit.
  19. Chrome?

Seriously guys, are you actually saying use the material that will cost over 10 times every other chrome cost (and the customers) cost just to look cool. For the life they 'expect' from that chrome wrapping cast ... not worth the money for cut graphics. ... wrapped vehicles and accent graphics...
