Draw a rectangle directly over the yard stick. Use this rectangle to mask the photo. Set the width of the masked photo to 36". Unmask the photo, and all will be scaled.

When you import a tif into flexi and save it, the tif becomes a Flexi file. It still exists in the original location you imported it from until you delete it, though.
I can also vouch for the Triangle Inx. We've been running the JVS series for the Mimaki for about 3 years. They are full solvent, though, and run around $100/liter.
