It sounds like you need to adjust your media feed (or step adjust). The reverse wound media feeds at a different rate than standard does.

Upper case extension is the default. I think there is a box you can check that says "Use lowercase extension". I prefer the lowercase extension, myself. You can always type in your own .fs when you save to ensure a lc extension.

I would also suggest that you make sure the banner is square or even on the roll. Then pull the material out until you feel tension, making sure that the banner is running parallel to the media clips. I don't hear about this problem too much on the Mimakis, as the multiple pinch rollers...

We print on static with our Mimaki JV3 running full solvent inks. We get nice tight prints.

If it is an option for you, you can open the file in Excel and find out what the fonts are.
