  1. HP Latex Printer arrived today...

HP Latex ink has nothing to do with latex paint. The word latex refers to a type of emulsion. "Latex is the stable dispersion (emulsion) of polymer microparticles in an aqueous medium. Latexes may be natural or synthetic." (Wikipedia)
  2. TraceMyIp.org

You can do all of this in Google Analytics, which is now real time... If you need something beyond Google Analytics I recommend Clicky, whatever the hell the OP posted looks like it's about 15 years old.
  3. HP 25500 for Heat press

It's for transfer onto leather & canvas, we ship it out to a client that does the heat pressing onto canvas we just function as their print vendor. I couldn't tell you much more then that.
  4. HP 25500 for Heat press

The stuff we use has a lower transfer heat point than the temp of the curing heaters so we're not risking it.
  5. Who has used big cartel?

Best ecommerce platform depends on your website CMS.
  6. Tint Boxes

I guess you're a slow typer? Tab switches fields...
  7. Photoshop continues to crash when I set my brush to make a bokeh

Not exactly, it's a particular aesthetic quality of out of focus points of light. It's also why my Canon 50mm f/1.2 is my favorite lens. :thumb:
  8. Epson GS600 vs. other printers

Print quality on the L25500 is great for a CcMmYK machine and yes, you can use a wide variety of media. Basically anything 3M, Oracal, Optisolve, Intellimagic, Ultraflex, tons more. Some stuff we could do with our JV3 we can't on the L25500 but nothing crazy (can't run low temp heat transfer...
  9. too much Yellow in greys.

If the media you're trying to profile has optical brightners you need to use the UV filter on the i1. Could be a lot of different things causing this but start there.
  10. What to do with low ball competitors

Compete on quality and customer service, not on price. Price to be market competitive but not to the point where you lose money. Chasing losses isn't a great idea. Figure out what you do best and use it as your value proposition.
  11. Career choice stress

Get out while you still can. The average American switches careers 5 times, at 24 you have a lot of time to pivot into an industry with more growth potential but the sooner you do it the better.
  12. For anyone looking for a good backup solution

Optical media is not ideal for backups (at least not as the *only* backup) but if you go that route you should use DVDs, not Blurays. Never use proprietary anything is in the top 10 "rules to live by" for archivists.
  13. New Van Wrap

Agreed with all above, original is great but should push web, not phone.
  14. HP L25500 printer head bad, REALLY?

People buy cars and never change the oil too.
  15. Creating ICC Profiles

Honestly you should consider buying some training on your actual equipment.
  16. Weeding Nightmare!?

This, who wants a tree growing out of their hair. Awful graphic they probably found on some free vector site. I'd talk them into something better.
  17. Tablets?

bigben: Adobe just released (or is releasing soon) most of their suite in stripped down tablet versions. I don't really have a use for tablets but if I did presentations or dealt with customers directly I'd get one in a heartbeat.
  18. HP L25500 printer head bad, REALLY?

Yes, consumables are how HP makes profit, they take a loss (most likely) on the machine itself. Which is why it's so cheap. They have the same profit model in all of their printer divisions (the only division really making HP any money). I'm not a tech so I can't say one way or another about...
  19. Very good tool to have and the price is right

Education is kind of irrelevant being in any graphics industry job and not having Photoshop is nearly unfathomable.
  20. New Vector Art

    Really great personal style.
