If you contact Midwest Sign Supply, I know they sell the MBX Zapper tool. They also have a demo model they loan out to companies thinking about buying one. This would be the perfect opportunity to try one out without dropping the 4-5 hundred bucks on a prayer.

Pumpaloaf was the nickname for a [crazy] Black Lab/Springer mix I use to have. She got that name because she was always pumpin' a loaf in places she shouldn't have been. Her favorite was to do it on your car seat if you ran into a store, even for just a quick minute.

It's tough in the early stages. Best thing you can do is to build your portfolio. The portfolio will eventually ease people's mind that you know what you're doing. Speak confidently about your portfolio and how you do NOT do design work without deposits, other than maybe a sketch.
