Is there an app where one takes a picture, and the app would recognize the font? If not there should be something like that, I've seen a website before that will take a Jpg and do it, but it wasn't very accurate, i forgot also the website, anyone have any recent news on websites or an app.

What size are the letters? I can easily weed halfinch letters when i slow the plotter down, mayne even quarter inch., if i take my time. I use a graphtec fc8000-75

Thanks guys, i decided on mimaki, it comes with the take up reel, its a little cheaper, cjv vs versacamm... i can choose between mild solvent and eco solvent, i can choose my ink config, which ill be using dual cmyk, and it has an epson dx5 print head. Mimaki is the winner.... my friend

Is there a warranty on it still? If so who will support it? Call them up, ask how much training and setup is, and ask about the printer. Maybe they will go check it out if you don't know much about large printers. I'd say 15000. Depending on head condition, also what inks is the guy running?

Rasterlink, onyx, etc.... there's alot of rips for mimaki, any thoughts on which one is better? Easier? Ive seen versaworks going at it, and that's easy as hell, especially to print and cut.

Well sp, and vp.... mimaki you can run white or silver config. On cjv3 or double cmyk, theres 8 channels. First point goes to mimaki just for that
