I never had good experience with non OEM parts. I purchased some aftermarket heads for my FOjr. And it was just wasted time and money, not to mention potential performance and reliability issues.
When it comes to Print heads,
Pay the extra $ and get you a genuine head.
My 2¢
With the damper removed attach the syringe to the print head and gently push cleaning solvent you should feel no resistance and the solvent should jet out of the bottom of the head, do this a several time and see if that helps, before you get the new head.
That's typically a communication error or a motherboard issue.
Unplug the data and power cord and let it sir for 30 minutes.
Turn the printer back on without the data cable, if it gives you the same error, then open the control box and reseat all cable connections and memory stick on the main...
