  1. Design positioning

I never design for print in flexi unless it has a contour cut so it makes it a little easier. I design in photoshop and export to flattened pdf and just import/open in flexi and print/rip so it has the borders intact. I also always put a .01 outline so that it makes hemming easier if i am...
  2. Windows Server 2008 Active Directory and DNS

ah... adding VM's to the mix is always fun as well. Techman makes a great point.. when I am setting up a new server it's always best to get basic functionality working before going any further. I generally do a clean install and perform all of the needed security updates, etc before installing...
  3. Windows Server 2008 Active Directory and DNS

Congrats! If you ever need help in the future feel free to shoot me a pm
  4. unknown win32/trojan?

Malwarebytes and Spybot are pretty good suggestions, however Spybot doesn't seem to do that great of a job anymore. Recently I have been using http://www.superantispyware.com/ for my clients with much better success. I recommend going and downloading the "portable" version to a usb drive and...
  5. Windows Server 2008 Active Directory and DNS

Definitely check that they are using it for dns since you are wanting to resolve/join a local domain. Since you have created a domain controller and setup dns, i would also use the server to provide dhcp and just specify the dns servers there to make life easier.. i have a really good guide...
  6. Advise PLEASE. I NEED TO SLICE the material that the vinyl sticks to.

I don't remember the thread but there is a tool that someone posted about that is a precision razor blade basically.. it allows you to set the the precise cutting depth and will cut only the backing paper.. hopefully someone else remembers it and will chime in as well.
  7. purple

I generally mix using One Stroke LB Premium White and whatever color I need for a tint.. I would take white and mix in the 480 purple until i have a shade I like.. just be sure and mix more than you think you'll need b/c it'll be hard to match unless you use a scale the first round and keep notes.
  8. Hello from Washington (State)

    Welcome!
  9. Recent simple free standing sign

Nice.. I have to quote a job tomorrow and depending on what they are looking for I think I might try this technique out.
  10. Recent simple free standing sign

Very nice!.. I have a couple of questions though, how did you attach the dibond panels to the 4x4? and what material did you use for the edge capping? I am thinking that the screws are behind the address panels, etc but I'm unsure.. I have been wanting to do something similar for awhile after...

  12. Transform a Roland Sp-300 into a SP-300V?

Well I updated to 7.10 and did a fresh install of VersaWorks and it seems it still isn't working.. anyone know how to fix this?
  13. Transform a Roland Sp-300 into a SP-300V?

This is correct, however, when you flip that dip switch and then turn the printer on, it even shows SP-300V on the screen. I know people said the V's had upgraded pumps, etc but my father bought one new directly from Roland and his is using the same old style pump, etc that the SP-300 I...
  14. Transform a Roland Sp-300 into a SP-300V?

I have the same problem.. I haven't had a chance to mess with it lately so if you find a fix, I hope you'll post it. I'll try to do the same if I can figure it out.
  15. circus/western font

Stahl's Tiffany is close as well.. I believe you can download it at stahls.com edit: after looking around the site i can't find the link but i did find someone at t-shirtforums that posted the link for direct download through stahls.com.. they changed the layout of the download section but it...
  16. Versacamm SP-300 head replacement, few questions.

I honestly don't even know where the tech in my area is, I would say the closest would be in Little Rock which is two hours.. and I don't have any idea what the rates are.. but I bet they are more than a $1 fuse :) I don't believe working on your own equipment is for everyone and if a machine...
  17. Wut I see is not Wut I get

I am not a pro at color profiling but one way to get somewhat close is to print the image out and then hold it next to your monitor and play with the RGB values on your monitor controls until you get something close.. you can also download a program like QuickGamma and adjust the gamma as well...
  18. Versacamm SP-300 head replacement, few questions.

I managed to short out a cable the other day while working on the printer like an idiot and took the advice here and ordered the fuses from digikey.. replaced the F2 fuse today and I'm back in business.. thanks to this thread! Just wanted to post that the fix also worked for me.. thank you...
  19. Solaris roland bulk ink system

I just use the carts as they come (buy in 440ml from Fellers.. not bulk).. I don't notice any loss of ink due to additional cleaning cycles, etc..
  20. window 7

Just wanted to note since I am also in the technology field (I have an ISP as well as travel to do network wiring and computer maintenance/support for businesses) that the biggest advantage of Windows 7 is that even though 32-bit programs can only use the 2GB or 3GB limits as in the past, that...
