  1. Proclaim Flag Day as a Federal National Holiday

lol what??? ending slavery is def a good reason for a holiday, are you guys nuts? I'm down for flag day too. The more holidays (paid days off preferably) the better :big laugh:
  2. Wacky error when importing cut-only files into Onyx

Yeah I tried all of those variations unfortunately and no luck. It seems like it's the text is more affected than the shapes? I tried converting everything to object and still no difference though.
  3. Wacky error when importing cut-only files into Onyx

this is what it should look like
  4. Wacky error when importing cut-only files into Onyx

I'm not exactly sure what's going on here. It happens every time I try to import a SVG file into Onyx as a cut-only file. Work flow starts in Omega 6.5, save or copy/paste cut lines into Illustrator so I can export as a SVG file, import to Onyx cut server Any ideas? :thankyou:
  5. Do you charge no-show fees?

I like the idea of not committing to specific times but that also seems like it could backfire if we have a lot of vehicles show up at once. I'm not the one usually doing vehicles, I do the sign portion most of the time. When a vehicle doesn't show up the vehicle person comes in and works on...
  6. Do you charge no-show fees?

I saw that post about rush fees and that reminded me of this question.. Do any of you fine people charge for no shows? We seem to be having a problem with vehicles not showing up for their appointments. They also seem to get mad they have to wait another month before we can fit them in again.
  7. General Formulations Holographic

I forget the exact scenario that I did this, but I had somehow printed the dots on top of some "test prints" that I thought it would miss off to the side, my summa couldn't register them. I just cut away the vinyl around the dots exposing the white backing paper underneath and then it was able...
  8. NEW ONYX USER, HELP

Because, frustratingly, my company insists on using Omega 6.5 for the final production stage. In the vinyl dept. we only have Omega on the computers and you can't export a SVG from there. I've been begging my company to expand the adobe accounts so more people can use it but until then I do...
  9. NEW ONYX USER, HELP

Okay I use Onyx to do cut only sometimes. What I do is import into the Rip as if I'm going to print it (should show just cut lines, no image), set cuts on, send to print but then cancel it right away. The cut file is still sent to the cut server. You can then go to the cut server, turn off...
  10. Random Photo of the Day

I like the way it looks! Better a bunch of dynamic, hand painted signs than just plain buildings in the city, in my opinion. Of course this look is out of style and production now, unfortunately. Would've loved to be a sign painter in the 50's!
  11. Palomino Joe.........................................

Too bad it's over, could've made a killing off Team Gino merch.
  12. This, or VR?

Very cool, I'll check it out. I've been trying to get the hang of Gravity Sketch (very fun, hard to to get the hang of) and I was thinking how cool would it be if there was some sort of sign building application. You can export your models and import them into other CAD software. Just need to...
  13. S80600 printing issues

Not sure if this will work but it won't hurt to try. Menu > Maintenance > Head Maintenance > Auto Head Maintenance
  14. EPSON SureColor S80600- HELP

I really love our s80! Bold colors, fast printing and fast (ish) dry times. I think quite a few people here use that model. The only thing I dislike about it is that it does automatic cleanings so it has to stay on all the time. Otherwise it will dry out and ruin the head. If you're unsure if...
  15. printing issues

thats bizarre. I agree with Boudica, look up. There's definitely something on the vinyl.
  16. Wolly Gator: Hand Painted and Lettered

well, on a positive note, im diggin' the Hanna-Barbera Florida trailer park vibe tbqh
  17. printing issues

If you're getting that problem on two totally different printers then it's probably an issue with the material. Looks like it got some splatter back at the plant. What material is that?
  18. creating a grain gradient in illustrator with a spot color.

Onyx PosterShop. I think I misread the OP's post because what I was wondering has nothing to do with wood grain  I figured I could create a gradient with a stippling effect, which would look "grainy".
  19. creating a grain gradient in illustrator with a spot color.

Not sure but I've been meaning to figure out how to print a vanishing gradient on clear with white, just commenting to get notifications on this post. Hope someone can help :)
