I have been told that it will last for years and years. The gold mirror is on the back side of clear acrylic. I suppose it could get a little hazy after a while, from wind blown sand. But that could be polished right out.
I have done a couple of signs lately using gold mirror plexiglass. It's very cool looking. And this client made a you-tube video of me and my wife installing her's this last weekend.

I've got that same book. There are some great bits of advise in that. Plus the Author wrote this in a town about twenty miles from where I grew up. (DeRuyter, NY)

How about "velcro" to hold a banner up. Use the hook side on the van. If their not going to use it when the van is moving, that should hold up pretty well. And when they drive off with the banner still on the van. You will get to make another one!
