  1. Wholesale printing

    Understood. I'll change it!
  2. Wholesale printing

This is correct, for the record. Usually people from S101 contact me via PM here, it's normally fairly easy to tell who's a legitimate sign shop and who's a retail customer pretending to be one. We do our homework as best we can to make sure we don't give wholesale pricing to those who shouldn't...
  3. Wholesale printing

Are you referring to mine specifically or all merchant ads and signatures? If I'm breaking a rule I'll gladly change it, I didn't know MMs weren't allowed to do that. Fred?
  4. Wholesale printing

No, we're not. We have a limited retail presence in and around the Dayton, OH area, that's it, and at that 85% of our local work is "wholesale" to agencies and other sign shops. We are a small shop and we do not have (nor do we want to have) a national retail reach.
  5. Wholesale printing

Thanks for the kind words guys!!!
  6. Looking for a Flatbed or Hybrid UV - Quality over Speed

Adam, what CET dealer are you talking with? We're also looking into the 500H among others. Did you decide against the HP 500 or 700 (I recall you were considering them at one point)?
  7. Making use of my signicades, while business is slow.

haha. GG, you didn't strike me as the hipster indie-music type... good stuff!
  8. Pricing WARNING Signage / Durability

Greatest thing I've ever seen right there. You are my hero!!!
  9. Flamed edge or polished on Acrylic

Are you in a decent sized city? YOu might look in the phone book or on the website for a company with laser cutting capabilities, or at least a router table that you can take your material to and have them cut it. I can't imagine there's not someone near you that can do this. Not that that's a...
  10. Flamed edge or polished on Acrylic

Depending on how big it is you can always send it to Gemini, we have them laser-cut smaller acrylic panels for us all the time. The edges are ready to go then. If you're going to do it yourself, it's critical the cut edge you start with is as smooth as possible. If you can, have it cut on a...
  11. Pricing WARNING Signage / Durability

I agree with the installation advice above, go with Tapcons or all-metal anchors, don't use plastic and definitely don't use wood. That wooden dowel is going to rot sooner or later and when it does the screw is going to fall out. Tapcons are going to be the cheapest when you factor in labor as...
  12. Before and after with props to Google Maps

Nice sign! And Google Maps and Google Street View are lifesavers. It's eliminated a huge amount of travel time for us, for quick preliminary quotes that are hard to justify a site visit we just hop on Google. Another great one is bing.com/maps. It's got a great "birds-eye" aerial view that I...
  13. Don't post what it was, just "i saw it"!

I don't know Donna but she's over on Letterville a lot and she's really talented. Her Funky Junk blog has some great stuff like that. It's not my wife's taste or I'd turn our whole house into a copy of hers. Check out her staircase.
  14. Epson GS6000 Retro Fit

Try the Solvex cling from Fellers, it's all we've tried in it but it works fairly well. I haven't bothered to write a profile for it yet, right now we're using a canned profile for Magic GF Photo and it works decently well. A little puddling on heavy coverage but it's acceptable. Static in...
  15. Epson GS6000 Retro Fit

Other than the fact that it's slow as dirt and more expensive to run that a 4-color machine (because it's got 8 colors...), it would do fine for you. Prints on wrap film beautifully.
  16. Epson GS6000 Retro Fit

Have it, doesn't really help, but demand they install it for free, do not pay for it. We thought it did at first but it's proven worthless in the long run as far as we can tell. We bought this machine specifically to print Korographics wallpaper and have literally had zero luck with it and in 1...
  17. 2012 Nissan GTR dimensions

I'd give my left nut for a GTR... Oh yeah.
  18. Looking for a Wholesaler selling odd sized real estate frames.

FYI Dee Sign has a wholesale division that sells to sign shops. The discount isn't significant but it's a little less than what's on their site. It's almost impossible to find their website, I was just looking, and for some reason I don't have it bookmarked. But call them up and tell them your a...
  19. need a longer cord for seal base 54"

Yeah, we made one for ours. Home depot sells various extension cord female ends, we just bought the one that fits the Seal plug and spliced it into a heavy-duty (10ga I think) extension cord. Cost about $20 and works great.
  20. DX5 head source fo JV33 etc
