  2. GG inspired racks

Not what I was hoping for when I read that title, but none the less, those are nice roll holders. :loveya:
  3. Shout out to I-45 Signs from SignVOX!

It is cool, we're still getting it set up (taking my sweet time) but so far everybody is over the top about it, I think it's going to make a big difference in our day-to-day operations.
  4. Obsessed with work

More like this. Being obsessed with work is not good or healthy, trust me. Everybody gets to that point. At the end of the day, it's just a job, it's a means to an end, be obsessed with life outside of work. Work to live, don't live to work. Burnout is inevitable and part of working, but the...
  5. try to identify material.

This, the big letters sure look like fabricated aluminum to me, those returns are too glossy and smooth to be foam unless someone spend an awful lot of time prepping and sanding it before painting.
  6. GS6000 vs. the new Seiko W-64s

We replaced our aging JV3 with a GS6000 and I'm kicking myself. I should have either bought another JV33 or an HP latex printer. If you haven't already, consider the JV33, it's in a different league than your JV3, it's an impressive machine for what it is. But back to the Epson. It is not a...
  7. 2006 Dodge Sprinter: Which Vinyl?

This is also true, we did an HHR bumper with 380 and it really distorted the graphic and we weren't over heating it or over stretching it. I didn't like it so I reprinted it on Avery Supercast and the distortion or clouding was almost non-existent. Supercast stuck better too.
  8. 2006 Dodge Sprinter: Which Vinyl?

I'd use the Supercast, I think it conforms and sticks a little better in deep recesses better than IJ380... Flame away...
  9. thinking of going to pay pal - thoughts please

We're looking at moving to a virtual terminal but this instantly turned us off. I get Paypal is geared to the super-small ebay seller and they probably have to watch their back, but when moving to pro I can't understand holding on to that much money for 90 days to make sure we're legit. That's...
  10. Very cool tool from Onyx...

just finally got to install it, very very cool, works better than I expected it to!
  11. Very cool tool from Onyx...

sweet, been waiting for something like this for a while!
  12. GS6000 - Logo Length Not Matching

For what it's worth, we have this issue quite often with our GS6000 and so far haven't found a reason for it, or a fix. I'm leaning toward the printer, not the RIP. We run Onyx. I can print a multi-tiled job on the Epson and have panels be off from one to another by as much as an inch, the same...
  13. Are big names over rated ?

this. And support is a major issue. Tearing down an HP or Canon printer may not be easy, but it's probably a little different than tearing down a solvent machine. And with a brand NOBODY else has, when you disassemble the thing to replace a belt or encoder strip and then can't get it back...
  14. switching media

Avery's business practices aside, I will say we have many wraps on 1005EZ that have been out for 5-6 years and they still look like new. Comparing Avery to 3M, they are very similar in application, I like Avery's air egress better, personally, and I like the level of initial grab a little better...
  15. remove rivets... how?

If they're removable it'll have a 8-point small star-shaped hole in it. You actually use a #2 square driver to remove these. Home Depot sells the bit.
  16. baggage/container label material

3686 is a poster paper stock, 9pt, semi gloss. prints great on our printers. not sure if it will work for what you're doing, but it is nice media, it's the only paper we stock, I haven't found anything nicer (except for photo papers).
  17. Custom Printed Water Bottles

+1, we do a lot of these for customers and for us, easy to do. We usually buy the water from Home Depot, they sell cases for like $3, the labels remove really easily so we can swap them out in no time.
  18. Custom Printed Water Bottles

    water bottles or bottled water?
  19. You not getting any more of my $$$ Frank FELLERS....

We've limited using them because their billing system is a complete wreck. That and every time we place an order the price we pay is different...
