I use x3 but this will work in 10 also. Make a shape (circle, square ect.) a bit larger than your vector. Create the gradient in that shape and convert it to a bitmap. I use RGB 150 full print size. Then power clip it into your vector and you will have a smooth printing gradient. Works for me...
QUOTE so i have a buddy of mine that used to service my falcon jr.
says he upgraded to a valujet now he is willing to sell me his 48 inch mutoh prismjet for about 2,500
A falcon jr is a 4 color 38" printer that can print a full 36". A 48 Prismjet is a Mutoh Falcon 48 6 color printer sold by...
I've had a Falcon for since they came out and they print very good. A little slow maybe but that too has not been an issue. I have replaced parts as you would repair a car. I even use what some think is a not so good rip in Ciberprint. My printer is in excellent condition and prints like it. I...
"stripped gear under the maintenance station"
Sounds like you need a new maintenance station. Those gears are not replaceable. They are not solvent resistant.
I use a Gloss Vinyl Profile. Vaccum high, print in high quality ( 720x720) uni-directional so the ink can be absorbed. Set the heaters to 35 deg C (95 deg F) Dryer OFF. Use a low ink limit. I use 65/130 for my ink limits with my RIP.
Vinyl like GT Intermediate from H&H sign Supply would be good. It is 3 mil thick and permanent adhesive. It would take a beating. If you wanted more durability you could use clear over. I am guessing you cut vinyl. Spray clear coat would be a waste of time.
P.S. welcome to the group.
As said, wipe the material and turn the heaters down to 45 and 45. Lower your ink limits I print with the limits set at 65 and 130 in my RIP. 720x720 bi-directional is generally a be a good resolution.
It's made by General Formulation. It is the same as Concept print series Feller's sells. The 203 is equivalent of 3651, the 202 is the equivalent of 3621.
