This is a pretty good idea. I bet you go to SGIA and get them to let you set up out front with a name brand printer. In that couple days I bet you would make easily $1000.
I would try cutting master. I know that the driver might not be available but I would still try with different drivers similar to your machine. I run a FC6000-160 off of a FC4200 driver.
I would take it out a field somewhere and beat it up like in office space. Get out all that aggression from the times it printed bad. Or head jammed. Sounds like a lot of fun. Where you located I might pick it up just to do it
Doesn't seem worth it to me. Nothing like a curved paper business card.....not. Be professional. Although I do like the idea if you had a router of doing business cards out of thin aluminum and just router the text out.
I don't use 651 at all so I don't know about that. But I saw you offering electrocute as a substitute and saw him saying it was expensive. So I thought I would offer my alternative to the 3M brand. Hexis makes a lot of other vinyls also. So from the looks of it a Hexis Ecotac Plus E3000+...
Hexis has a brand of "electorcut" called transparent. You should try it out. We used it to replace all the 3M electrocut we used to use. It's much cheaper and the same effect. They have a larger selection of colors also.
Well duh. That's part of the work. But if I order 1 or 5 rolls the rolls are same price and there is no extra charge. I don't charge people design time on small orders either, I just break it out over the whole order.
In your rip settings are you using any color correction? So if you open an old file and print it still prints the same color but if you do a new file with the same color it is different?
