Not necessarily. One machine might have more surface to rub on then the other. One might be grounded better and releasing some static before it ever makes it to the print zone.
Nice. Getting your money out of that little guy. It's nice when that happens. It sucks when you add a brand new one and it gets messed up by a head jam 30 minutes later.
Sorry never done any. I have also done a ton of banners and never had any tape issues with bantape1 from Grimco. I would think the tension on them is not that tight so it wouldn't really be pulling hard. Never took a look inside so not sure how the tension works.
I believe your humidity should be in the 40%-60% range. While yours is not super low it is lower then what is recommended. With a higher humidity I would have said this is probably not your problem but since it is lower I would check into it. We noticed a big difference at our shop when we...
Like an electric scrolling like you would have in a mall stand? We have done roll up banners kinda similar idea. They are rolling in and out though instead of around and around. We always use the tape that is provided on the inside of the stand. Never had any issues yet.
Get a humidifier for the room. My guess is your humidity has been really low. Causing for a lot of static. Get a humidifier in the room and up the humidity some. This will cut down on the static. The alcohol is going to clean the plasticisers off the surface of the material. If static is...
Maybe this is what your seeing. Not everything lines up quite right. I was noticing it too so thought I would grid it. A little too far to right and a little lop sided.
I was going to say if you have Flexi when you go to import it asks you which page you would like to import. You can only do one page at a time which is a little bit of a pain.
Depends on not just thickness but density. Materials that are really hard and dense it can have some trouble sometimes. Meaning that it will push the media but the knife is not able to move through it that fast. Sometimes you have to slow it way down. I have cut a HI-Int with a electrocut on...
It can come out of the printer dry but not be thouroughly dry. Meaning the prints will look and feel dry on the top but if you let them sit for a couple hours the will start to get an oily finish to them. And the temp doesn't matter at all unless you also let us know the pass levels. More...
I use 3M blue tape all the way around. Holds it together nicely. I always try to ship flat. If not I wrap tight around a core and tape to the core. Then tell customers let it sit out flat on a table with some weight on it for an hour or so and you should be good to go.
Why does the lam need to be non-slip? I understand if someone asks for it. But to be honest every mall has a floor that if wet would be incredibly slippery with how many times they get buffed. Why then do the graphics have to be non-slip?
Sounds like you need to change the language you are using. If you are going from a PC using Flexi to the Graphtec change the plotter language to HPGL on the plotter.
This is the reason you buy it. But if the profile is not set up correctly for your environment, then you could have the same issues as you would with a solvent. Prints don't dry all the way. And actually the prints should be completely dry when coming out of the machine. The heat causes the...
