  1. Why Thermal?

I agree with that. I had a PC600....good quality and made good money with it but small format. For what I used it for it worked very well with Duracoat ribbon the cost was reduced 1/3 per sq inch but still high. They all have their place in the trade.

  4. Mutoh head replacement

The heads may need to be aligned. After you print a nozzle check you will see how well they align to each other. I did a physical adjustment and got real close. I couldn't tell the head was off except on 1 mil or closer lines.I had my tech do a alignment from the diagnostic set up in the control...

  7. Mutoh head replacement

You need to run a wash (cleaning carts) first, replace everything, then run an ink fill. The manual has some "gaps" in the directions. I always had to stop and think......clean or wash? A head wash is a good thing when you are going to have the printer setting 3 days or more. It cleans he "gunk"...

  12. Need some info.

Welcome to the group. A Graphtec CE series is a good cutter for the money also. It has a OPS for contour cutting printed graphics. I don't think the Q cutter has that unless you add it. Both are good cutters with great performance for the money.

  17. How's CE5000-60 for Accuracy

What advantages does a FC-7000mk2 Series hold over the CE-5000???? FC-7000mk2 is a more heavily build cutter with more features. The CE is a very accurate cutter but you may want more down force for paint protection films.
  18. Blackest black?

RGB black has always been the best for me. It is much darker and richer that CMYK.
