  1. The expense of our machines and Christmas Cards

If I am putting a half million dollars into someone's pocket just for the machine, you don't think that warrants a pretty decent gift or one heck of a thank you card? That's just basic sales 101, especially in this day and age. We find out throughout the year what our customer's love and like...
  2. The expense of our machines and Christmas Cards

Yeah I hear ya. We ALWAYS make a list of the top 30 customers each year and send them out something nice and send everyone else a handmade card. You'd be blown away by how much people love and appreciate that and how much business this turns into.
  3. The expense of our machines and Christmas Cards

I would like to state that after having been in this industry for over 15 years, I am still blown away at the "thanks" given by our manufacturers for our service and money. You end purchasing half a million dollars plus of machinery every year and then the same in materials and more and you get...
  4. Shop Truck

Yeah, his design work is amazing, the pics don't do it any justice, I've got to get a photographer to take pics of this.
  5. Shop Truck

Now, normally I don't post this type of stuff but this one I have to. The design was done by Seven Sin design, we printed it on our latex on Avery SuperCast and matte laminate and installed it with 2 guys in 10 hours. It's my truck, my lowrider, my daily driver, and one of our shop trucks. I...
  6. Awning for our walkway, need some help

Need some good vendors who can work with us to create a very simple awning that covers over a set of stairs going down into our building. We can print the vinyl here to cover the awning, just need someone who can make the structure and give us advice.
  7. Latex 2 sided

Actually we did. We've tried Lexjet, General Formulations and now Converd's paper and all with the same issue. Just wrote a profile yesterday and it starts to print out fine but done the road starts buckling again. We have the heat on our 850 to 70/45 and have the ink restrictions the lowest...
  8. Latex 2 sided

I agree, we were using our calibrated banner profile for this one but at the same time, we tried stock profiles for paper and such and each one did the same thing ONLY buckled on the red portion of the prints.
  9. Latex 2 sided

Yeah, trying to stay away from fabric, they really want either a really nice blockout banner or blockout paper. The paper is fine until we get to something that is dark red and it just starts to buckles like crazy.
  10. Latex 2 sided

Looking for a good paper stock or banner stock for running two sided jobs on the 850 and such? We have had horrible results with 8pt blockout paper, it buckles too much to get good quality. Anyone running any really good NON CURLING material for POP hanging 2 sided signs?
  11. How a Machine Company SHOULD run...pay attention

For all of you who have had machines, have machines for many years this might be a breath of fresh air. There is a newer company out there called Novus who is making a really bad a** UV hybrid and "latex" version but this is being built by people who actually knows how this industry should...
  12. Foamcore

Question for you all with flatbeds as we are taking a survey over here, what brands of foamcore do you run and like on your flatbeds? We have found that certain ones do not print as well as others, etc.
  13. Jeti parts from Agfa Guess how much..

Mike and all, We used to have this issue till started working with SPDI lamps, they pretty much make any reflector, oem UV lamps, you name it for half the cost. We send ALL our lamps to them and they refurbish them, clean the reflectors, etc and they work better than new. I bet I have saved...
  14. Fuji Acuity or Oce owners, Service Warranty worth it?

Well, they give a discount of 25% off heads but as I told my reps, the industry really needs to pay attention, as they've been doing this for years. They make money on the inks, tons on the service contracts, gotcha but for people who take care of their machines, this machine shouldn't need...
  15. Fuji Acuity or Oce owners, Service Warranty worth it?

To all owners of Fuji's or Oce, what has been your experience with the Service Warranty and is it worth it let's say for year two or what did you do? It's amazing how many machines I've owned over the years and I've always thought how insulting it is the amount (usually 10% of the purchase...
  16. Zund Router and Cutting Help

we keep 10 dibond bits on hand at all times because they do dull fast. As soon as you see the edges start to not cut nice, change the bit and keep that old bit for cutting into pvc. We buy the old conveyor belt material in 10' lengths, works great and as long as you AKI correctly, you'll be...

  18. SignVOX - My review

Here's my two cents. Great looking program but downside for me is that it's run and owned by SignARama. Why does that matter? Well since it's on the cloud and since they are controlling and housing all the data, it's unbelievably simple for them to look at customers you have, orders being...
