You are printing then cutting on two separate devices, make sure the output size is the same on both the printer and the cutter. Some RIP programs like SAI will have an output compensation function for each device to avoid having this problem.

Even if you manage get a new main board from Mutoh Australia ( Wide Format Printers - Sublimation Printers - Large Format | Mutoh Australia ), it might not be a straight forward board swap because the MSA Board Replacement Wizard may not work on the Oce firmware currently installed on your printer.

Check that the head lock mechanism is functioning properly and that it is releasing the carriage when it is supposed to.

Change Spitting setup from On Media to Origin

Try updating the firmware, the latest for the VJ-1624 is Main V3.01 and Heater Controller is V1.22

Somebody must have hidden that setting in the setup menu

Could be a line break on one of the cables between the CR sub board and main board

Change setting for Spitting from "On Media" to "On" so it will spit ink on the pads in the flushing box instead.

RIPs like Onyx ad SAI have ink calculation feature, enable this and you will have an idea how much ink will be used for every job even before you print them.

Set the Auto Clean While Printing function to OFF to prevent this from happening.

Perform a separate PF Adjust for each type of material, say Vinyl, Paper, Banner, and set them as different media types say type 1, 2, 3. The printer will then remember and apply the feed compensation for each media type that you select upon loading the material.
