Yes…advertised speeds and true production speeds are totally different. Lots of companies out there quoting high production speeds and results at that speed are unsellable (or unachievable). Firesprint is exactly right….see it for yourself. Only you know what is acceptable speed/quality...
I have no experience running either one of those but I will throw Digitech into the hat of the more “less expensive” presses. We run ours two shifts at a steady 50 boards an hour. Great quality, color and adhesion. True flatbed so registration is spot on front/back.
I would imagine you...
That’s exciting to hear. We had a few hiccups in the begging as well but it was mostly due to learning the exact settings we needed. We are not a large shop either and cover a lot of different markets. We are in the middle of a 150k square foot job that we will have done in less than 3 weeks...
Digitech had some delays earlier in the year on their white but seems to be resolved. Just had 250 liters of ink delivered yesterday so they seem to be in good shape.
Also, not really sure why stratojet and Digitech are in the same category. Same for a lot of the other printers mentioned. We are running true speeds of 50 boards an hour including load/unload times. The is real sellable quality with vibrant color.
Are there any other printers in this...
I am curious to know as well. This sounds very suspect…..
Digitech machines are incredibly reliable and extremely easy to work on. If his machine is constantly broken, I think there is more to the story. They don’t price gouge like most other OEMs which would make it almost difficult to be...
Anybody that is interested in getting into one of their X2 machines and can’t afford it at the moment should pick this up. In no time you will have the money to upgrade.
Digitech stands behind all of their machines and will never leave you stranded. Totally different business model from...
Those Retrojets are great machines and built by one of the best manufacturers in the business. We have their X2 and cannot say enough good things about it. Sounds like a win-win. Can’t wait to hear your feedback on your new machine!
Finally updated to the latest software and wow! This Queue software is a huge game changer. You can really see the power and speed of the machine. We ran 30 different 4x8s in under 30 minutes. No need to stop and load new files....just print and keep feeding the beast. Beautiful quality...
I know a lot of people really like HP as they make good printers but I truly despise that company. We own 3 HP printers and all work well for what they are but if you ever have to deal with them, you will wish you had gone another route. Invest in these up and coming companies that appreciate...
Is anybody running the new Digitech workflow software? I have heard great things and looks to be ideal for running jobs with variable data. Have not had time to update yet but wanted to get other users opinions. This company just keeps getting better!
Hints why Digitech is the only true flatbed I know of with an auto unloader. You are loading as soon as it’s unloading. No time in between prints, true production. 60 boards an hour with load and unload. We do it all day, everyday.
I would throw Digitech on your list. Their speed, quality and ink adhesion are incredible. If you are running lots of corrugated, their is not a machine that can beat it. The auto-unloader is a great feature and will keep your operator happy.
We went with the 10 head machine + auto unloader. I didn’t see anything else with that production/quality in the same price range. We run 50 seconds a 4’x8’ all day long. Other machines are around 2 minutes to achieve the same quality. With over double the speed and much better build over...
We turn off our Digitech at the end of everyday and every weekend. Our HPs I would never do that with. They need to constantly purge and do self maintenance.
Do yourself a favor and call Troy and setup an appointment to go see Digitech. We looked at a lot of printers and test drove them all. As soon as I walked out of my Digitech demo I was completely sold. There are a lot of great companies/machines out there but none of them do it the way...
Both are great options. You will get more speed out of the Digitech but it will cost more than the Vanguard. These “smaller” companies are turning a lot of heads as it is well deserved. They are hungry for your business and won’t nickel and dime you to death like the larger OEMs.
