  1. My Roland XC 540 SolJet Pro III Error Codes - Help Please

Check timing belt/pulley for jumping teeth. Make a mark on the belt and pulley in the parking position an let it print until the error happens and see, if the mark on the belt has moved.
  2. Service Motor Error 0080 and 0010

Have you cleaned the belt pulleys?
  3. Be careful! HP Latex firmware update

This isn't HP's fault. Using expired inks is at your own risk. They even let you do it... don't cry. Mimaki stops working with expired inks for example. I had to replace many printheads on Roland UV printers because of expired inks. (One head is about the price of a complete set of HP heads)...
  4. Roland vs 640 Ink Configuration

Double white is not possible. (Makes no sense, because it also needs to dry)
  5. Epson Ergosoft Summa Barcode Print Position

As far as I remember, Posterprint is able to to this for years. What is the version? 16 or 16?
  6. What's this and why'd it fall off my printer carriage?

That's the spectrometer. It falls off, because of material crashes. When missing, it throws a error during startup, as far as I remember. As long as you don't do color calibrations, it just sits there. I remove the left cover to replace them. Reseating the flatcable is a bit tricky, because the...
  7. HP latex 570 stuck in sleep mode!

Sounds like your SSD went south...
  8. S120T How Do I Turn Off Origin Reset?

Why not use the cut-off command?
  9. Right to Repair Act

The right to repair your own machine and warranty are two different things.
  10. VS540 Stripes through red prints?

Looks like you had a crash(deflected nozzles on magenta an black in the same area). If manual cleaning of the nozzle plate doesn't improve your nozzle print, you may need to replace the head. Look at the service menu nozzle print, to see what the small dots look like.
  11. Firmware vs640

Printing CMYK is possible with any firmware version. You just need to select double CMYK ink config. I'd save the actual parameters of the machine and do the update. If something doesn't work, I'd downgrade to the actual version and download the parameters. It's hard to say, if you particular...
  12. Need Help Very fast partial nozzle clog SP300V

On such a old geezer, there could be a pinhole in the tubing. (Roland suggests to replace it after 3000h printing time.)
  13. Suggestions Help! I cannot seem to print gray in RVW without it being grainy

This won't be possible with VW and this printer. What you need is a printer with LC/LM/LK. A VSi for example. If you want to finetune black generation and have (more important) dot size control, you need another full featured rip, that's probably more expensive, than a used VSi printer with...
  14. Roland xr keeps saying ink not filled HELP!!

The latest firmware is definitely compatible with Roland EcoMax2. No need to downgrade. 3rd party ink may be different.
  15. Soljet4 Ecomax2 inks using max3 settings?

I don't know, why it shouldn't be possible to switch back to Max2. The colors will definitely be off, with the wrong profiles.
  16. Roland xr keeps saying ink not filled HELP!!

    Update to latest firmware.
  17. Why do I have to press PAUSE to get my Versacamm to print?

It's almost always the SSR on the heater board. It's either constantly on, so the overtemp switch "regulates" the temp at 60-70 deg. Celsius. Or it is constantly off and stays cool.
  18. Need Help VG-540 Print Head Issues

Did you replace the damper? If a damper fill doesn't fix it, the damper needs replacement.
  19. Print on Latex 335 & cut on Roland XC 540

I don't think so. The Roland marks are generated by the printer.
  20. UV Long Drop Printing

What depht are you talking about? The smaller the drop size, the less distance between printheads and medium is possible. The drops are deflected by static or air draft and are shot at an angle because of the moving carriage. I don't know of a printer, that uses heads with very large drops nowadays.
