  1. Static Cling or Removable Adhesive for clear window signs?

Yes, I do have white. Only reason I had quoted that job for them so I can put some use to my UCJV330. Just need to find a material similar to this 3M.
  2. Static Cling or Removable Adhesive for clear window signs?

Pardon my lack of experience with some prints here. So I have a sample of what I'll be doing because they wanted a similar material. Material is a 3M controltac not sure what spec, but it's obviously removable adhesive with a white back. So my question is how was this done? I'm guessing clear...
  3. Static Cling or Removable Adhesive for clear window signs?

These are going to be reverse printed for placing on the inside of a window to face outside.
  4. Need Help Finding Approx shipping weight for quote

I'm doing a wholesale order to a offset printing company and I think they want to know the weight because they will be shipping these to the end customer with other pieces of a job. I think I can probably just get away without knowing, but it would be good for the future.
  5. Need Help Finding Approx shipping weight for quote

About 872sq ft. But the weight would be different depending on the material. 3mil material would be much different than a 6mil material. If I had the materials I could just cut some out weigh it and figure out the weight with square area. I just do a lot of small jobs so I have always included...
  6. Need Help Finding Approx shipping weight for quote

Have a larger customer looking to get a shipping weight of a job I quoted them. How do I go about calculating the price on 3000 decals on material I don't have for quoting?
  7. Static Cling or Removable Adhesive for clear window signs?

I just looked this up on Grimco and it's a lot more expensive than the price list I was given from them.
  8. Need Help with Printing High-Quality Button Designs

I'd think if you were printing 8pass or 12pass unidirectional you should be able to get a really nice print. I do small stuff like that all the time with my S40. The design must be pretty intricate.
  9. Static Cling or Removable Adhesive for clear window signs?

https://www.glassapeel.net/ You order direct from them it seems. I ordered a sample roll yesterday and they sent me a price sheet when I emailed them for info about it.
  10. Static Cling or Removable Adhesive for clear window signs?

Ordered up some a sample roll to try. :) Anyone ever used any Lintech material? That was another brand recommended to me by a guy from Mimaki.
  11. Static Cling or Removable Adhesive for clear window signs?

I'll have to ask them about that, my best guess it's either fall or winter since those are the next seasons to come up. I'm in Maine so I'd definitely have to take into account the colder weather for clings. Should also mention these will be applied by the customer and not myself.
  12. Static Cling or Removable Adhesive for clear window signs?

So I've started getting other jobs to quote and have a job of 3000 - 6" x 6" window clings signs for banks to put up for some temporary signage. (Think it's for a holiday) I've never printed on static cling and just did my first job with clear and white on my UCJV330 which worked fine. No issues...
  13. be prepared for Ai generated artwork

I use AI on occasion. I do a lot of cannabis labels and strain labels. so the most I use it for is to generate a background for a cannabis strain that will likely only get used once. For me it's been super helpful for getting something quick done, but if someone is looking for a logo or...
  14. UCJV330 Gloss Curing

I recently had a job I did with spot gloss and the sheets crackled a bit here and I mailed them off to the customer and when he got them they were really stuck together so much that some of the backing paper from the sheet on top stuck to the gloss on the sheet below. It may be a combination of...
  15. Epson S40600 Questions

I assume you're cutting in the slot between the platen and the heater on the front. Does it advance when you start a print and how much excess are you talking about? I can start mine right at the edge of the platen without any issues and that's not much extra on it.
  16. 2 pass or more force for pop out stickers using laminated stock?

Doing 2 passes you're going to wear it more since you're doing double the cutting even if the second pass is easier on the blade, you're still doing 2 passes.
  17. 2 pass or more force for pop out stickers using laminated stock?

As long as your blade is sharp and extended enough they should pop out fine with a single pass. I do these all day on my FC9000 and have never done 2 passes. What degree the the blade that you're using? Should be a 60 deg. and if you are using a 60 then you probably need to extend the blade a...
  18. UCJV330 Pull Back Printing (Multi Layer printing)

Yeah same, I don't want to do it unless I absolutely have to. I typically don't do more than 24" in the feed direction for prints. I'm still trying to figure out why I'm having this bunching issue. I emailed Mimaki suggesting they should allow all rollers down in the middle with low pressure on...
  19. Print and cut layouts (Mimaki printer to Graphtec cutter)

I still have yet to find a decent solution to this. This is how I generally handle my files through Onyx. Place said artwork with cutlines into a new file, say 8.5" x 11", step it out to make a sheet of 20up of the label. Save that PDF and then step that out to whatever my order is for, 1000...
  20. UCJV300 overprint on 1 layer

It cannot be more than 5 layers with a single pass, anything more than you need to do a 2nd pass. Total would be 5 layers including the CMYK. (BUILD>WHITE>BUILD>WHITE>CMYK) You should look through their multi-layer guide, it'll give you some detail about printing with multiple layers...
