  2. New Shrink Wrap Setup

We have one of those that we stopped using. Hmmm thinking I need to revive it!
  3. Help! Delamination on wide format prints

I'm with iPrintStuff here. I've never had any issues with lamination sticking to the 1650 inks. There is no need to outgas those either. Might want to consider changing laminate.
  4. Canon Colorado 1650 Question

It's not always like that though. It's weird, the carriage speed and size of the print have to match up and then it does it. And we have a buzzer that is a lot more annoying!:D
  5. Wall Mural vinyl recommendation

We don't laminate Wallmark. It's 6mil vinyl so it's easy to install. The material is matte but I would say if your printing on a solvent printer it would be more of a satin finish rather than matte. We print with the matte mode on the Colorado 1650. Comparing it IJ180cv3 is probably not...
  6. Wall Mural vinyl recommendation

If you're going to use 40c you have to clean the wall almost perfectly or you're going to have failures. And if you have to do even 1 wall twice its not worth the time and effort for the difference in material cost. We've reverted back to 180cv3 and then we don't have to worry about what paint...
  7. Canon Colorado 1650 Question

Yep ours does it too! I have a slow mow of it too that really shows what's happening but I can't get it to work on youtube. Our 1640 also did this and they ended up raising the whole acrylic case a half inch. I think the 1650 is already maxed out. I believe there cable length its just a little...
  8. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

I've been letting Onyx do the ink limits. It seems that it has gotten better over the years. Do you recommend something different on Chromalux panels?
  9. Recommendations for suppliers of POP fixtures

You can try Siffron, Kinter, and Asia Sources
  10. Roland Tech service quote $$ Are you serious?? $$

Hmmm Id never pay a tech more just so I could watch or help. Most of them enjoy getting to talked to and appreciate the help. Their pay isn’t going to change based on how close you monitor them. I ask for updates and what they’re doing. If they’re on the clock at those rates I like to know...
  11. Roland Tech service quote $$ Are you serious?? $$

AGFA is $1500 flat travel fee and $275 an hour. OCE has local techs but if you're not on a service agreement they are $315 an hour. I agree it's too expensive, especially when they seem to tinker trying to figure out the problem. We do all the service ourselves on the AGFA machines. The...
  12. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

Thanks for the offer! I'm not looking for someone to produce them though since I already have all the equipment to do so.
  13. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

We have flatbeds here as well. Most of my profiling experiences is with flatbeds and UV ink. Onyx does a great job with profiling for those. But flatbed printing is totally different than dye-sub. Epson edge print is pretty limited and there are only 2 other options which yield similar results.
  14. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

Here’s an example of the color differences. The one on the left is the sublimation panel and the one on the right is a laser print on regular paper which is within reason of the screen. Which I would be totally happy with if the panel turned out like that. And the photo actually made the gray...
  15. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

Even for rigid substrates like Chromalux panels?
  16. Chromalux Sublimation Color Help

Dye Sublimation Equipment Epson F6370, Epson Edge Print, Epson DS Transfer Paper, Geo-Knight Maxi-Press All of my prints tend to shift to the green side. Light Blue/Blue always turns out teal. Grays tend to have the wretched green tone. Reds and Yellows turn out awesome. Unfortunately Epson...
  17. Need new flatbed - Advice please (NOT HP...)

I think he meant 7 boards an hour. Which would make sense if there was one row of Ricoh Gen 5 heads. I think the only machine that could print that fast is the Nozomi. And that would be slow. That thing will do a board every few seconds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Need new flatbed - Advice please (NOT HP...)

Here are a few flatbeds to take a look at: Agfa Mira, Anapurna Series Hybrid Printers, Digitech, Vanguard, Canon/Oce Arizona (Not my favorite machine though. Had one for 2 years and got rid of it. Replaced with an AGFA Titan and will never look back or get another Canon.) None of these are...
