when you start using different materials. you run into different white points and how each handles ink .
so unless you profile each material on its own you will almost always get a different color.
could be a ink limit setting in onyx also that is not allowing you to use enough ink to build a color.
but looking over your print. i know its just photos of prints. so not a good measuring point. but looks like your is really dark and you losing a lot of the fine detail
i agree with everyone else. your roll has gone bad. i can see your grip roller leaving marks. that happens when it plasticizes
wiping it with alcohol might help some.
but i would get a replacement roll
dd you conture cut the perf?
when is it breaking apart
i have had some perf do something like that before. its normally when applying it and i peel the backer off.
its never created a problem a little pick with a knife to pull of the broken backer and it removes clean.
with latex printers it needs to cook the ink. if it doesnt get cooked. it will never dry.
but the bigger question. is there something on the perf not allowing the ink to stick
the ink wont stick to the release liner so it will always wipe off those areas.
well the simplest way to put it.
you can not match exact colors constantly with out a color calibration system.
the machine and rip need to be calibrated. to the environment at the time you run the job.
with out that you will get what the machine thinks the machine wants to print and the machine...
all your 3m samples are very consistent.
do you ever need to color calibrate to your machine.
has anything with the machine changed
have you tried reripping the file to see if that helps
did you check the ribbon cable in the machine. look for any slight damage. it doesn't take much at times. look at your connection ends. make sure the printhead is level.
i would suggest just doing everything in a luster, its in between matte and gloss.
do a heavier ink on the "new" look area to give it a more vivid look.
i agree, its time to hold them to the fire.
i do feel bad your have a bad machine. i love my latex and it runs almost non stop.
i really hope they ship you a new machine and it works perfectly from day one.
no matter how good someones manufacturing process is. there is always a defect in something.
yes do several promotional jobs. wrap your car. wrap your buddies. do a few "fake" signs. wrap silly things around your office.
i wrapped my filing cabinet just to show off that stuff can be done.
i wrapped a storage cabinet to look like a vending machine.
its a great conversation starter.
talk...
its nice to have a room away from production. this can be a multi function room. break/meeting room
its great to get the production staff together and talk about current job status and upcoming jobs.
a place quiet enough one can relax a little or you can sit and talk with a client.
