every print shop i have ever worked for saves all files forever.
you have your working storage. long term storage and archival storage.
my last shop had to keep a special computer on hand with all the media reading devices like zip and syquest drives. and things like that attached to it.
i have never seen mine "smoking" but i have noticed a slight haze in my print room.
the machine cooks a lot of water out during print. the water vapor will kill the painted surfaces in your heating unit.
i would suggest taking apart the heating unit and giving it a good cleaning.
could have...
anything less than 10 feet of lam i toss out.but i only keep 1 or 2 rolls of extra.
trying to milk the last few feet of a roll is more hassle than its worth most of the time.
i did the same thing on a black bus using black refective. it came out looking amazing.
also i didnt know anyone else from this area that came to signs101
your install does look good.
hoods are hard to reach at times.
now the emblem.
when i remove one. 9 out of 10 times it stays off
but when i have to put it back on. if there is enough factory adhesive left i just go with that. if there isn't. vhb tape will be your new best friend.
and you can...
ok. are your colors different on the same media?
do you make any adjustments on the rip end.
i have had heads that report as ok, show ok on all the tests but will still produce banding.
make sure your encoder strip is clean. wipe it with a lint free towel and a little water or just a dry towel...
i would look at your printheads.
i have an hp360 and my colors are almost always spot on.
the color will shift over time. thats why you calibrate to bring it back to where it belongs.
but if your color is shifting that much. i would think one of your printheads is having an issue. if you...
i dont think you should see any problems.
i would think it would crack before anything else.
with that said i would ride it out and see what happens before worrying about it to much
the side text i would do with the window cut out lines. and the door with the body panel trim.
your eye will normally be drawn to the closest solid line.
lay it out and step back. does it look level. good apply it.
your in the business to make signs. can you make money off the sign.
is the sign doing or promoting anything illegal?
no one will know where the sign came from. only who is displaying the sign
