  1. Canon Colorado M Series.

and most of the time when you get the inks they're 6 months away from expiring, pretty short life. Not a problem if the printer is busy but full tanks of ink go a long way. 3 rolls of vinyl per week you'll need to waste some ink to keep it from expiring
  2. Aftermarket Plotter Blades

clean cut isn't a US company either
  3. Canon Colorado M Series.

You probably need to print more than 3 rolls per week for the Colorado to make sense over epson
  4. Aftermarket Plotter Blades

Yes they just also come with the old style springs. Just dont use the springs with newer blade holder style. Some aftermarket blade holders use the springs
  5. Aftermarket Plotter Blades

I get them on amazon, works great https://www.amazon.com/HQMaster-Lettering-Graphtec-Cutting-Plotter/dp/B0759P4N28/?th=1 Almost no difference from the expensive OEM blades. We can only sometimes tell a difference on very detailed heat transfer material. Other than that there is no reason to...
  6. Pre press artificial intelligence

that's exactly what I do. I just found you can skip the photoshop step and do in illustrator by going to edit - adjust colors and do the blackout right in illustrator that way. Now that I've done a few thousand of these I pretty much do it automatically without thinking.

That sound more difficult than just doing vinyl
  11. Roof decal, to be seen from airplanes/satellite

I think the downsides of banner is high winds/rain could come through and tear it off it the 1-2 weeks or more it could take before video is made. After the shoot would have to remove otherwise Id imagine water will get trapped under the banner. CGI, maybe could be done but won't be seen from...
  12. Roof decal, to be seen from airplanes/satellite

What's every ones favorite tool/squeegee for 50"+ wide panels going on a floor (roof). I have a 27" yellow tool timber and just ordered a 64" for this job
  13. Roof decal, to be seen from airplanes/satellite

Yes this sounds like the roof material
  14. Roof decal, to be seen from airplanes/satellite

It's a pretty simple design, pink and white. Maybe could be done with paint. I did a smaller scale test print for them out of the 6 mil vinyl and they like it. Just trying to see what I might be missing before I go on a roof when it's 100 degrees outside
  15. Roof decal, to be seen from airplanes/satellite

It's the roofing company that's purchasing the signage
  16. Roof decal, to be seen from airplanes/satellite

I have a customer that wants a large decal to go on a brand new, flat white roof. They will be making a drone video of the building and what the brand on the roof. Only needs to last long enough for the video shoot, if it can be seen from planes landing/taking off from the nearby airport that is...
  17. Canon Colorado M Series.

Cost per sq ft printed is low, im around 7 cents/sq ft ink cost
  18. Those who've switched to flatbed laminators: how's it going?

I use a flatbed daily to apply transfer tape, apply prints to substrates, short pieces of lamination etc. You would not want to be laminating anything longer than the bed on a flatbed. It is a great tool to have but it is not a replacement for laminating full rolls/long prints. Mounting prints...
