Anyone else having trouble with S101 using tapatalk? I've had trouble the last several days. I cannot connect at all now. My research is pointing to S101 being the source of the problem.

Pricing is an art. There are many variables for adjusting your margins. Being able to read people is very important.

Tell them to figure height x 1.5 (to allow for ascenders and descendents), and figure the same width as height per letter.

Matthews paint needs at least 48 hours for cure time before applying vinyl. A manufacturer rep told me that reflective for some reason needs even more time.

Use YJ Inc or Sullaway, firms that specialize in sign design. It is typically a couple hundred dollars or so, not too bad.

Are these tools even needed any more? Years ago we used OnOne Perfect Resize, but stopped using it because Photoshop's "preserve details" image resizing does just as good of a job (from what I can tell) . The 2.0 in the latest CC does an even better job.

These letters look to be pretty big. It is probably just aluminum retainers instead of jewelite. Generally channel letters over 4 or 5ft tall we spec aluminum retainers for durability.

Would acrylic work? I’m not real familar with phenolic. What are you using it for? I would try Sabic or A&C Plastics, they carry many different types of weird plastic materials.

I had built our previous website using Muse. It did an OK job, but it felt a little hokey. I’m not sad Muse is going away, and can’t say I am really surprised. I’m looking forward to the Spark platform being able to develop small simple websites.

I have used Origin PC for a handful of years. Very good quality components. I like their website, you can build it just how you like it.

If you open it in Coreldraw, do you get the same weirdness? If not, I would think opening in CD and saving as a PDF would work. Tell your customer to save it as a PDF in the first place. Then WYSIWYG.

I would be VERY careful to dive into this. Producing replacement prints like this can be tricky. Every fabric stretches a little differently. Failing on a trade show event will make you look very bad. We had a major failure once doing this because one little detail wasn't perfect.

We are having problems painting 1-shot black lettering enamel onto this sandblasted HDU foam sign. The black remains tacky for a long time (days) and gets very streaky looking. We have painted hundreds of signs before and never had this problem. It looks like some kind of contamination, but...
Orbus also sells a similar product, Signpro System. We switched to them from Vista years ago due to much better lead times. Also Orbus has a price list for most common sizes. I don't like having to request a quote from my suppliers for every quote I do.

Yes, we printed a job for a pediatric unit on our Oce flatbed printer. I believe we used white ink underlay to make the color pop more.

Does anyone have useful information on interior LED dynamic displays? Or know of good sources that are wholesale friendly? Roland used to sell them, but I don't think they do anymore. Looking for ones that are programmable like the outdoor ones.
