  3. Where to offer my printer for sale

I wouldn't sell it.. Keep it as a backup machine. The parts required to maintain them are readily available.
  4. My oldie

We have yet to see a test print. We do not know the condition of your inks. We do not know if there is any restrictions with the inks or ink supply We do not know if all dampers were changed out. (Dampers create a vacuum as inks are used and replenish at end of pass.) The printer does not suck...
  5. Mutoh issue help please

    Increase heat..
  6. XC540 Print Quality Issue

Bi-directional adjustment required. Also a decent soak wouldn't go a miss
  7. My oldie

Goto Rip and Print. >adjustment> drag the 100% down to 50% on that page.. that is for all colors. Then print again and post a picture of the print and your settings. Then rotate the image 180 and print again and post that picture.
  8. My oldie

Replace both heads. You have a printer capable of photo quality prints that have the cheapest heads available. Do yourself a favor.. Also check the Netherlands for new capping stations.. The capping station was used in many other epson printers.
  9. My oldie

Check the file you are trying to print..Also replace all dampers as you could be getting an ink starvation problem,,Had one of those 6100's and it was a great machine.. Used to be able to buy the heads direct from Epson.. Bit harder trying to find them now but still available.
  10. VP-540 Printhead Streaking Lines

DX4 heads by the way..That problem is usually caused by the cables as you say..Make sure all the cables, pins and connectors are clean and undamaged.
  11. Stinky avery calendered vinyl

Go back to the days of true solvent inks, when you could smell the dollar notes a printer was making.
  12. Do you laminate your plain vinyl lettering?

NO.. someone went to a lot of trouble to make the vinyl colors in just about the full spectrum. Laminating is for printed products only. Just my 2 cents worth.
  13. Banding on dx8 printhead

Lose the 360 and go 720x720 bi-directional and post results
  14. Banding on dx8 printhead

More info required..DPI, passes, uni or bidirectional? Have you changed any settings to attempt to fix the problem?
  15. Question why can't we "jail break" the new ul

Do what others have done, fry the roland when it dies and buy a mimaki. 5 years of no sales will put them in a position where they will freely unlock the machines prior to purchase.
  16. Pinch roller question

Raise the bar before attempting to fit the push on type. Also, if you are not using the plastic spool carriers, there will be too much drag and the media will track wrong.
  17. Need Help Versa Camm SP300V Help

  19. Roland Versa Camm SP 300i

Both machines are the same. Just a different mainboard on the 300.
  20. Plexi Cracking

When cutting acrylic in future, you need to use a high speed saw. It reduces the chance of any cracking on edges. As stated by others, just drill a small hole at the end of the crack and it will stop the crack extending.
