Just put it back. It happens to mine occasionally, more the older it gets. You just have to line up the little slot with the wire that holds it and push. Don't force, it should click back into place fairly easily.

We do backplates & thru bolt. But zip ties would come in handy to hold it it place while doing it solo.

I haven't used Extira in a while, and when I did we routed it. We followed finishing instructions exactly, and then some. It didn't hold up well. we had to refinish it in less than a year. If the place hadn't folded I would've had to replace it.

I agree, don't burn your bridges, just treat them like any other customer. I had a similar situation with a bus company, but they did operate as a commercial sign shop. They didn't last.

I usually ignore the BS, it's not hard to do. I do miss a lot of great sign people who have dropped out of here. I have a feeling it was a combination of the snark and the repetition of questions.

I would try an auto detailer, they can buff with polish compound and then wash.
