What machine do you have? In the first pic, the magenta in B may indicate a clogged damper. I've had that happen before on a vp-540. Do you have the correct cables in their correct slots?

Anyone come across a problem like this? I have a VP-540, printing on a 30 inch roll of vinyl. On the left pinch roller, the vinyl seems to bunch up around it, and roll up as it advances, causing the head to strike the raised vinyl. Tried a different roll of vinyl, and still seems to be doing it...

Yeah, never had one that size. I was at a VWorks seminar awhile back, and Roland mentioned that a 2GB file was the max file accepted in Versaworks, however that was a couple versions ago.

Depending on what software your using, move the contour cut line to compensate. I've had to do this several of times using Flexi with perfect results.

I have a copy of ColorRip if you need it.

What does the test pattern look like? Have you done more than one, and if so, is the black the same each time?

I had that problem with contour cutting on a Roland sp-300V, No matter what I did to try to fix it. However, to compensate, I moved the contour cut line over in Flexi, and worked like a charm when I print/cut.

Looking for a reliable place/source to order/overnight/pickup some Head Adapters (black manifolds dampers plug into) for a solvent DX4 printheads, and possibly some other parts. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem on a sp300, which I believe has the same board. I even did a post about it here on signs101. As soon as the sub power was turned on, the fuse popped. After the fuse popped, I took the board in and had it wired for a removable fuse, then plugged it back in and it popped...

Any kind soul in Metro Detroit area have an extra Eco Sol Max Cartridege I could buy. Ran out of ink in middle of a job needed for Sunday....OUCH! Magenta I had was empty, and not new. Thanks!!!!

What operating system are you using? If your using Vista, make sure you have SP1, and try disabling Windows Super Fetch.

The best blades I have come across are the ones for the Cricut machines, that are sold at Michaels, JoAnns, etc... They are 7.00 for 2, or 3.50 if you have the half-off coupon. Been using them for years in 3 Versacamms and a GX-24.
