  1. HP Latex 800W

I hate to resurrect an old thread... but I need this done, and HP says they have never heard of this being covered... and want to charge me 3k to do this. Does anyone have a link to some documentation?
  2. HP 800 vs Mimaki UCJV300

I am about to buy an HP 800 - wanted to make sure I am not about to screw up. LOL. What are your thoughts about the 800 vs the UV Mimaki? I have had mimaki printers for 11 years, and when researching the newest printers, the HP800 really appealed to me. I'm tired of breathing in solvents all...
  3. Mimaki jv300 - need a print head.

Do I have to have a certain firmware to make this work? I recall in years past that Mimaki had changed firmware to check for serial numbers in the jv33 (my old printer thats now a boat anchor in the corner) and you couldnt install a non oem head in there.
  4. Mimaki jv300 - need a print head.

Good lord, $2600 for a freaking print head? ANy sources out there for print heads? Had a head strike and cant recover an area in magenta and it's leaving banding. I can print 12 pass or higher and its almost acceptable, but completely slows my productivity. Won't lie, i really hate how epson...
  5. I know i have seen and used this font before, but for the life of me, I cant find it.

Does this Look familiar? Had to trace it, as it was a photo of a visor with the letter embroidered on it... Im going to be so mad when someone points out that it's really common :/
  6. Windows update - anniversary edition

After the rollback and updating rasterlink 6 to the newest version, i am printing again. It looks like windows is trying to force its 32 bit driver onto rasterlink. (thats what the error message I just got told me) I was worried it wouldnt work at all. So - after the update in july nuking hot...
  7. Windows update - anniversary edition

Just need to vent. Came in this morning, and couldnt access files on my rip computer. Go over to the pc, and it looks different. I didnt think anything of it, until i noticed Rasterlink wasnt open, and once opened it didnt see my printer. So, i uninstall printer, and try to detect again...
  8. Bi-Directional

  10. JV300-160 - printer is great.. i hate rasterlink 6

I am running 5.0 - I will take a look at it next week when I am not completely snowed under with work. Its a good problem to have, but its still a problem. Thank you! -Pete
  11. JV300-160 - printer is great.. i hate rasterlink 6

I think the favorites tab works with the hot folder... and some windows 10 update in July nuked that for now. Anyone else experienced this?
  12. Oraguard 210 = UV burn

All that said, you should be able to tell your client that Oracal 210 will last 3-5 years in most applications. I wouldn't put it on a car, and I cant think of any horizontal applications where it would be outside all the time. Vertical sun facing signs have held up at least that long here...
  13. Oraguard 210 = UV burn

Edited. I told myself I wasnt going to get in this stupid back and forth.. and im not. It's yalls business how you do business :)
  14. Sign Business as SIDE HUSTLE...

Broker for the first year or two and expect to lose money... slowly you will become profitable.
  15. Oraguard 210 = UV burn

Oh brother... not every sign you put out there needs to be cast vinyl. A product should last as long as the manufacturer says it will - that's the issue. I have signs made with cast vinyl out there that look great after 6 years... and those customers willingly paid for the premium materials...
  16. JV300-160 - printer is great.. i hate rasterlink 6

on the hardware side, I can do nothing but rave about the jv300 - coming from the jv33, its familiar enough tha I feel confident I can maintain it for the long haul... but wow is the speed nice. Rasterlink 6 however, is not an improvement so far. What I used to be able to do with three...
  17. JV33 Head dropouts help!

Could be a few issues, but most have the same actual issue.... the seal between the head and the cap. If you've loosened the head assembly to change head height, it could be uneven, if the cap looks good, it could still be worn out... etc... start there.
  18. What makes your shop FUN?

I have a small shop. Its just me a lot of the time, so lets just say its a good thing my design pc has a good graphics card. especially on long print nights when I can happily play games all night while listening to the whirring of the money making machine over in the corner.
  19. Who you gonna call....

So, printing 18oz blockout banner material..> This roll has been rolled up and ive used it some over the last year... load it up and print this banner. I can see this the first few feet from grabbing the roll maybe... but again and again for ten feet? No sir, im calling a priest LOL
  20. What to do with my old JV33? New JV300 coming in a few weeks.

So, I pulled the trigger and am getting a new JV300-160 couldnt be happier, but have my jv33-130 sitting here that's still a productive workhorse... I just need the wider prints and faster production (im tired of printing all night). I have been thinking about using the jv300 for only banners...
