We have been using Vantage LED. Contact Deacon Wardlow. deacon@vantageled.com These are premium stuff, so they are not cheap. Good quality LED signs with a good company behind them are not going to be inexpensive.
  3. Doing more vehicle wraps - need to add a dedicated wrap printer to our lineup

We have been using the HP L25500 for 3 years for lots of wraps. Have never seen any issues with stretching. We have done some motorcycle wraps that involved some extreme stretching. Also have never had any issues with adhesive. I will qualify that by saying that very early on, we reduced the...
  4. What would you do?

There you go. I worked for many years for a guy that always said, "Business is real simple. You sell it for more than you paid for it, more often than not." You don't win on every job.
  5. L25500 Print Quality Issue, help

We have used this method when printing very large runs of solid colors. We did a huge wall mural that was mostly blue sky and the cyan head just couldn't keep up until we did the color bars.
  6. Installing Channel Letters on Interior Drywall

Pulling wire down dry wall isn't difficult. Most new construction is metal studs and drywall. Make a hole in the top plate with a 2" hole saw directly above where you want the wire to exit. Cut a hole in the dry wall at the bottom where you are going to mount an "old work" box. Drop a 3'...
  7. I just made the biggest blunder one could make on a full wrap for a full size van

Get over it. Chalk it up to a learning experience and move on. Chances are pretty darned good that you will not make that mistake again. It's how we learn.
  8. Fax or No Fax

We have customers that insist on faxing stuff. We don't have a machine. We use Unifax. They arrive via email and we send them the same way. No paper to keep up with, but we always have a copy.

  10. HP L26500 Color Issues

If you view your employees as adversaries that's exactly what they will be.

  13. SignVox for a brand new shop?

I would absolutely start with SignVox. We have Cyrious and it has some serious flaws. Many of which Cyrious is aware of, but don't seem motivated to address. I am trying to talk my partner into switching over to SignVox. One very serious advantage to SignVox, especially as you grow is that...
  14. New shop Insurance

You need a new insurance guy. Garagemen's insurance isn't unusual. We have it and if you are going to have vehicles in your shop you should too.
  15. Cheapest place to buy sign standoffs?

We buy buckets full from these guys. Their customer service is a model for others to follow. They always call a day or two after we receive a shipment and make sure we received everything and that it is what we expected.
  16. New to the idea of Latex...!

Everyone thinks that because the unit requires 2 220v outlets that it is a huge consumer of electricity. The voltage and indeed the number of outlets has absolutely nothing to do with the amount of kilowatt hours a machine consumes. Our experience has been much the same as ProColorGraphics...
  17. I need info on Content Management Software

Your title says content management. Do you by any chance mean CONTACT management software?
  18. Looking at Latex as a new addition to our machine lineup, so I came here w/ questions

  19. Wiring my new shop. Does the HP Latex printers have a regular 220 plug?

Refer to HP's guide for the specific printer you have as referenced by others. We have the L25500 and had to run new service from the box. We also had surge protected outlets installed (as recommended by HP). Total bill was ~ $700.00.
  20. Knowing what you know now...

Disregarding commodity products, Joe has got it. You can find products to accomplish a particular task anywhere. What people buy most especially on a repeat basis is absolutely based on relationships. If you are doing it right over 85% of your business should come from about 20 clients...
