  1. Okidata Seiko Colorpainter W-64S - Need Service Manual

I've had luck with getting new parts from .digiprint-supplies.com for my Mutoh. Some things take a long time if they come from the manufacturer, but if they actually have them in stock they come pretty quick (couple days). I suggest you use the chat button to ask how long it will actually take...
  2. Okidata Seiko Colorpainter W-64S - Need Service Manual

My backup printer needs two new heads. I bought a couple of used heads from a repair company on-line pretty inexpensively with the hope that at least one will work and with a little luck both will (pretty inexpensive gamble). Anyway, I'm guessing I'll need to set the software. Then I'll need...
  3. Okidata Seiko Colorpainter W-64S - Need Service Manual

I need a service manual for an Oki Colorpainter W-64s. Does anyone have one they can sell/share or point me in the right direction to get one? Thank you, Garrick
  4. Building your own laminating table?

So back to the original thread title "building own laminator table". I am working to build one from a Gerber Solara Ion X flatbed UV printer we took out of service. The table is 5' 10' and very flat. It has holes for the vacuum table that I have covered temporarily with HDPE, but will add a...

  7. Homemade Rolls Roller: Any suggestions

thanks. The current surface is very very flat, but has holes from the vacuum table so our plan was to get a piece of glass.
  8. Whats the best way to install stripes on a coragated surface?--?--?--?

Would knifeless tape work for you? Run the top and bottom of the stripe in knifeless tape, then put down a wider piece of vinyl. Pull the knifeless tape and take off the excess vinyl.
  9. Homemade Rolls Roller: Any suggestions

I took an old Gerber Solara Ion X flatbed printer out of service. After robbing it of all useful parts I am making the flatbed into something similar to a rolls roller. I have the bed, bearings and rails from the 5'x10' printer. I still need an actual roller. I'm thinking maybe a roller from...

I agree that using FSC-88 would be your best bet. TSF 45 by Coastal is also a great fill product for deeper issues.
  11. Best Practices: Measuring for Design / Laser measuring tool / Smart Phone Apps

I currently use an app called "Photo Measures" for android. Are you using a tape measure or something else?
  12. Best Practices: Measuring for Design / Laser measuring tool / Smart Phone Apps

When I'm at a customer's location making measurements for say a storefront or wall display, I tend to make a lot of measurements and draw a lot of diagrams on a note pad. Can you share what you have found as the best way to take your measurements (best tools for measurement and recording) and...

  15. Per sq ft cost of Ink - Mutoh VJ 1324

This may have been addressed before. If so, maybe someone can help me with a link for the thread. I have a Mutoh ValueJet 1324. I am paying about $70 per ink cartridge for the 220 size. What rule of thumb do other users use for calculating ink cost per square foot? Light coverage Medium...
  16. Gerber Service is really upsetting me.

    My apologies.
  17. Gerber Service is really upsetting me.

Yes, you are absolutely right. I don't feel like I was left hanging so much as given the back seat and because it is a used item may very well be the reason. I think a lot of my early support issues had to do with purchasing the machine used. Gerber did the removal (not sure what that cost)...
  18. Gerber Service is really upsetting me.

How about: Gerber Service is really upsetting me. I love my Solara, but I won't buy another Gerber machine or recommend Gerber if I can't get timely support. By the way, you said I should become more mechanically inclined. I have because it costs $800 for the tech to drive out here (2 hour...
  19. Gerber Service is really upsetting me.

You are right, it was harsh and I was very very upset with their lack of concern that I was not able to meet my customers needs (something I take seriously). I believe that some of the Gerber folks are superstars (maybe many). Tony sounds like a superstar. The tech that installed my Solara (Al)...
