  1. Inkjet printing directly on 3/4" thick wood?

How are you doing this and how thick can you go? I have a 9700 and I would like to know about this. I am too cautious to try non rated media in case I trash the machine. Thanks.
  2. Before and After

I apologize for the typo, the system will not allow me to correct it.
  3. Before and After

That should improve their business. It's a great looking sign and conveys a mush better image to the public.
  4. HDU hot-wire cutting

Burning eps gives off mustard gas as well as other toxins. Mustard gas was used to kill soldiers in the trenches in WW1. It burns the lungs and causes a very painful death from suffocation. It's nasty stuff.
  5. Labor of love xoxoxxoo

That is brilliant! I wouldn't want to gas it up but I like what you did with it.
  6. DC-3 Plane with Earth with a can sign with Raised letters.

What an Awesome sign! I love it.
  7. Sign Wizard

Does anyone use Sign Wizard for designing? I am considering buying it but I would like to know what others think of this software. Thanks.
  8. Wasatch Softrip

Thanks! That is an excellent suggestion about buying an upgrade to get free tech support. I know virtually nothing about ICC profiles. However they must be a lot like the game of golf... all you need to to is hit a little white ball into a hole in the ground.... how hard can that be? Eighteen...
  9. Wasatch Softrip

I have an Epson 9700 and the version of the software available is for Epson printers. I am stoked about getting it because in my "newbieness" I didn't know that a rip wasn't just a good idea, it seems to be vital. I had hoped x5 would accommodate the printing options I needed which is tiling for...
  10. Wasatch Softrip

I have not used a rip before and I am considering buying a used copy of Wasatch Softrip 6.7. I appears to be easy to use as comprehensive in what it can do. Does anyone have knowledge of this product who can shed light on it? Thanks.
  11. How can this company get away with crap?

I'm surprised that nobody has noticed that the wrap is perfect. What is shown is in fact the graphic itself which is intended to deceive people into seeing a less than perfect job. It's quite clever actually, the surface is smooth and flawless in reality.
  12. Software

ha haa... the shortest learning curve and it works. Not industry standard I know, but my research told me that it has drastically improved over old versions (I have no frame of reference for that) and that it does with one command what Adobe takes two and sometimes three commands to do. (That...
  13. Software

Thanks for the information, I'm not stupid, merely a bloody novice! I didn't mind not knowing things when I was at an age where all of my peers were in the same boat. Now it is a humbling experience. I'm stoked about this business not necessarily because I can make a little money at it but...
  14. Software

I'm afraid my question is juvenile, however I do need your advice. I haven't needed any software that would allow my printer to make the design in panels. I have a 44" inkjet and one of my first projects involves printing a graphic that is 120" wide by 94" tall. I use Corel x5 for design work...
