So I have been battling a problem with my UV Lamp system for a little over a month :banghead:. I keep getting an error that says Right UV Lamp Problem. I then did some trouble shooting. I replaced the bulbs at first because they were getting to that point anyways. This did not resolve my...
Is there anything I can do to help the Opaque White keep from dripping out of the ink head? I know its common for the white to drip when you close off the valve to do a purge to the other colors but when I leave the valve open it still drips... and I mean an excessive amount. The room is 72...
FYI,
ESKO does sell replacement parts for some of their tools. The kicker is that they don't have anyone in house anymore who can fix them. So if you can find a machine shop to do the work then it will save you money, rather than buying the whole tool. The replacement part for the tool I...
Just curious if anyone knows or has a replacement part for the Kongsberg Multi Cut Straight Blade tool. I fumbled the tool and dropped the damn thing and it bent the shaft that the blade holder attaches too... I called Esko and im wait for a call back.
Ok so in the Roll Manager I actually have a lot of different settings for different types of materials. I had to make one for the 14oz Banner since it was printing nice with the setting I was using before I went to the 18 oz Banner. The settings I'm using for the 18 oz banner (54"x100') are as...
I need to know how the Media Advance Correction Factor comes into play when using the Roll Media Option on the printer. I was printing on 14oz Banner and there were no white lines in between the prints or overlaps on the print. I have the Media Tension set to Low and I have the Media Advance...
Gino,
Your damn right about that. I try to put myself in the bosses shoes from time to time. That way I can have a more open mind of what is actually going on around here, not just what is going on around me. I'm just a part of the bigger picture. Even though you say the end product is...
Everyone I'm very grateful for all who chimed in. This is the kind of information I was looking for. I know the industry doesn't pay the most, but not everything is about money "if you love your job you will never work a day in your life" I can't say that every day is like that but for the...
I have not approached him yet. He told me once I started running this department well on my own we would be looking at talking about a raise. So basically I was just wanting a general idea of what I should be going in there and asking for. He started me at $15 because I had to be trained, I'm...
Hello everyone. I'm still fairly new to the trade of wide format printing. I have been in the printing industry for a few years. This year I took a new job working with Flatbeds as apposed to the sheet fed presses. I'm just curious as to how much I should/could be making here.
Location is...
Ok just to share information. The end problem with the machine was the SSR (Solid State Relay) which is on the MPU(Main Power Unit) of the kongsberg. It eventually fried itself so I had to order a new MPU and install it. I would take pictures of the board but I sent it back to Esko before I...
Hello all, I made the post about the broken Kongsberg Mulitcut iXL. I took a couple pictures of the actual error I'm getting. At first it was an issue with the saftey system and now I'm getting the 3063 servo voltage error.
I know this will be a difficult question to answer so I will do my best to describe my issue. I have a Kongsberg MultiCut. I was routing this morning and decided to change the bit to a different size after doing so the machine just went kind of hay wire. At first I was getting the safety...
Is it possible to route out a 3/8" thick 6061 aluminum plate on this machine? I think it would be possible since you can set the machine to go through the material in steps. Just curious if anyone has tried or done this, I am going to try and make a sprocket guard for my 660 raptor on it...
What do you mean CAST product? Also I have been looking and I found a product called ClearJet, its a spray on protective that says it will last 3 to 5 years.
Hey guys I have a question about General Formulations Laminate Concept 100 Gloss, 101 Lustre, and 102 Matte. This Vinyl laminate is supposed to have a 3 year durability to environmental exposures. I have to not used this stuff outside before and we are going to be doing a job where this...
Hey guys I did some print head maintenance on the Cyan unit to get some nozzles back in our Fuji Acuity Advance HSX2. What I did was took the cover off the gantry, removed the hoses from the Cyan reservoir and drained all the ink out. After that I blocked the return hose to the reservoir and...
Artbot,
I used the syringe method you suggested with conditioning fluid and it brought back 1 of the 4 nozzles I had out. Do you use the NMP as a flush thru the print head? I have some on the way and I will try wiping with the NMP first. Also do you put some pressure behind the syringe or do...
Question about NMP
So you say that this "NMP" can help with cleaning out printer heads. N-Methyl 2 Pyrrolidone is a solvent much like paint stripper. This would would great in solvent printers, but does it work well with UV printers?
