Well your right. But we had faith they would resolve our issues. Our biggest disappointment is that even after all of what we went through they didn’t compensate us at all. We even want to commit to buying a second one right away and mimaki won’t even give us a rebate or extended warranty. That...
UPDATE!! The white inks have been switched over to LUS200 and they are now rock solid. No more issues with the white ink. Also the chromatic banding issue is 95% resolved. It is not perfect, although with enough patience and tampering it can be. With the right dot gain and feed comp adjustments...
UPDATE!! The white ink has been switched to LUS200 and our problems are solved. The white is now rock solid.. Also the chromatic banding has been greatly improved. It is basically a question of using the right feed comp and dot gain when profiling. Its not perfect, but we are happy with the...
UPDATE!!!! After installing the LUS200 inks in the printer I am able to confirm that the issue is completely gone. The white inks are now rock solid. Many thanks to Mark Noden from Mimaki Canada for making this happen!
As many of you have read previously, we have been having many issues with our Mimaki UCJV300 since last December. It has now been 6 months and we still have no resolve. We are still experiencing constant banding du to feed instability and the white ink is now officially a problem. Mimaki is...
Also please Note that the ink washes off between 0-30% opacity the most ( especially in gradients). However even at 100% opacity I am able to rub the ink off with saliva or water and my finger.
There is a definite issue with white LUS-170 ink. There is an official statement released by mimaki Japan saying so. Mimaki Canada will be installing LUS-200 inks in our JVC300 with new firmware to rectify our situation. Will keep you all posted.
Yes I definitely agree. Same here. The ink consumption is exexivly high. Also Our issues have returned. Still experiencing feed problems causing banding once again. Also the white inks not curing remain a big problem for us. Still waiting on a fix. Still waiting for an official and fully...
We use Caldera and this gradient banding effect is very visible. I am not a photoshop expert so half of what you are explaining is unclear to me. My question I guess is how do we build a spot white gradient in photoshop. I don’t see the spot colour options. Only a spot channel option... hope I...
I am trying to build a white spot colour gradient. I have a job that needs to be printed in white on PET. The file is a rectangle and the white is gradient from 100% opacity tapering off to 0% opacity at the top. When I print this file it has severe banding caused by illustrator. Is there a way...
Attached you will find a video showing that the white LUS-170 inks have a major problem. Disappointed that this type of simple testing was not done before launching a printer. The inks rub right off the film. When wet they dilute onto the installers hands.
Hi
I know you have read my posts about the UCJV but I have updated it as of yesterday.
Our machine is now running top notch. Mimaki has found the problem and resolved our issues. It was a feed belt adjustment.
I would like to tell you that we had an Epson Sure Color S60600 CMYK and had to...
Well good news! Mark Noden from mimaki Canada spent 3 days working on our machine and finally found the problem before calling it quits. Turns out the feed belt was slipping causing feed instability every time we tried to print at lower passes and higher speed. The issue is finally resolved...
