  1. Suggestions Best Metallic Gold Vinyl for Helicopter Graphics

We received a request to add a logo & name to this helicopter. They want to match the existing gold vinyl as close as possible. We were thinking Gerber 280, but I wanted to see if any of you have done this before. BTW, we are in Colorado, so it goes from 100° in the summer to -5° in the winter...

  3. CO Full Time Installer / Shop Help Wanted

Denver Signs and Graphics in Castle Rock, CO is looking for a full time installer/Shop person. We recently bought a brand new Vanladder which will be delivered by May 1st. We need someone with a valid drivers license that would be responsible for various installs, such as channel letters...
  4. Need Help Really Big Plastic Letters

We got a request from a repeat customer that we recently did some building signage for. Their neighbor just got 5' tall letters for their sign and now our customer wants to do the same. The biggest that I've found so far is 4' tall. Anyone know where we can find such ridiculously large letters...
  5. Proof Form Verbiage

What sort of wording do you use on your mockups to state that the final job may vary slightly from the proof? We installed a 21' x 6' sign that weighs close to 500 lbs. The proof shows the sign a little less that 12" higher than the final placement. We had to move it slightly down because there...
  6. Things I did when I was younger & dumber

When I was about 10 years younger, and a lot more fearless (stupider) than I am now. I would do whatever it took to just get the job done. Showed it to my boss afterwards, and he said "Don't show me stuff like that!" Older & wiser now, would never do it again, but just found these pix while...
  7. Question Vehicle Graphics

I know that ultimately it's up to the customer. But when applying vehicle graphics, especially logos, do you follow the body contours, or make it straight. Today's vehicles hardly have any straight lines, but when I see a crooked logo, it kinda bugs me... a lot.
  8. Question Keep Killing Blades

Since reopening we are doing a lot of floor graphics. We are going through blades very quickly cutting the floor graphics that have either a foil backing, or a grip tape surface. Anyone know of a 3rd party supplier that makes better blades than Graphtec? We are running an 8600 series.
  9. Would you accept this job? Is it even possible??

We have a customer looking to get a shipping container wrapped in vinyl. I am very hesitant to say yes. It looks like more trouble than its worth.

  11. Need Help How to figure costs for a Laser Cutter

So, we recently bought another company, and are receiving an Epilog Legend 36EXT in the deal. Other than the material costs, how do I figure my costs of operating the machine, minus the payroll? I am about to reach out to the manufacturer, but figured I would try here too.
