Sorry Gino... I didn't get all that from your post. Only the part about the business license. I recently found out that pa does not have/or require trade licences such as exectrical etc.. the rest was just my thoughts on other posts. Sorry for the confusion.
It most certainly does require a license for any part of building a house to remodeling a room.
If you are a person owning your home and no one other than your family lives there, you may do the work yourself, but you
MUST take out a permit to do the work.
Any work done on a dwelling where you do not reside, must be furnished by a licensed person performing whatever work.... from plumbing, electrical to roofing or foundations... along with proper permits. All companies are required and must be licensed, including you and/or your workers.
All businesses must be licensed in PA..... but in addition, in the last few years, you must now have this extra licenses to remain legal. Without this new license, you can be taken off the job, if found you don't have one. It's to protect old people and unknowing people from being swindled by hacks. All anybody has to do here in PA, is ask to see that license and if you can't provide it, you're supposed to call the local authorities and report the person.
I had kind of heard of this through one of our customers who bought a fleet of trucks and had the graphics done through the dealership. I didn't know that 3m was behind it though. I recognized they are using the old crosshatched 180c and figured they got it subbed out somewhere.
