Is the correct value out of range? not really clear from that picture. If yes, you need a tech guy, service menu and adjust the default values.
PS.: That is one bad ink. Those lines should be straight as hell.
The printer does not stop, because the chip is telling him to do so. It stops when the senzor is triggered by the cartridge. You may have bought a bad batch. Just nip off the end of the trigger and you'll be fine
If you're lucky it's the data cable. You could change it with a new one, and see if the problem stays or no. If it stays switch yellow head with magenta, see if the problem travels or stays on yellow. If it stays you're outa luck, main board needs change. Hope this helps
at first look what stands out is, that it is not the same profile. On the one made with the VP you have the +pass profile, wich means it is using the intelligent pass controle (RIPC), while the SP does not have any profile with the extra pass. Other thing that may cause color inconsistency is...

- does the offset printing persist even if you print other files?
- does the black line on the print persists on the entire lenght of the print or it dissapears after a while?
thx

Get a tech guy
This is one of those things that really needs a technician. It could be a short in the head, if this is the case you need to change it. It can be a short on the main board. The trick is to diagnose it correctly before changing half the printer.
Good luck
sticking to the question at hand
Productivity: rf=xc. Xc still has the cutter so basically even if exchanging 1 to 1 you need to buy a cutter to do the same amount of work, as you did before with the xc.
ej=2xc (with some materials) so yes, it would be a step forward, however it`s a fresh...
good point
about the missing lights, I missed that, but there are many guys out there that are not using the lights. Head brakes down, and they simply unplug them. However if a manifold is broken ink does not come out. In this case the head is firing when it should not. This is an electronic...
