Have you tried increasing the UV lamp power or decreasing the density to maybe 50/50 to test. Sounds like an ink issue though. I work for a Mimaki dealer in the US and I’ve installed many of these machines and never had an issue with white ink.

I would send Mimaki the file you are printing with the same conditions and let them test it on one of there demo units. Could be a bad batch of ink. What’s the environmental temp and RH in your shop where the ink and printer are stored? Also, did you shake the white ink bottle before...

What ink types are you using? LUS170 or LUS200. What application are you seeing the cracks on? Number of layers and profile pass count?

Take the carriage cover off and make sure it’s not getting caught on any cables. If there is something in the way you should be able to tell pretty quick.

Did you do a ink fill after you replaced the cap?

What do your cap tops and dampers look like?

When you replaced your cap top did you make sure the third port hole to the left was capped off. Sometimes new cap tops don’t come with the blue or black stopper for the third port on the cap bottom.

Does the carriage get to the point where it tries to move to the left and errors out? Or does it error out during media feed action?

Have you tried checking or replacing the air line filters above the printhead. (On the air line going into the Subtank). If those are bad it can effect air pressure and cause leakage.

Have you checked your Y drive belt? They can stretch over time causing it to skip. You can adjust the belt length or adjust tension.

Make sure you have the correct version of FineCut. Try upgrading the version on Mimaki’s website under Support and Downloads. FYI, you will need the original desk to upgrade.

Correct you will need to be in service mode to Adjust the capping position and or Gap Sensor height.
