  1. Reflective Sticker Vinyl 30"

Depends on how good you want....3M....Oracal...Avery....Nikkalite...can you use only 30 inch rolls? We use 3m and Nikkalite all with good results. 48 inch rolls mostly and they all have thicker backing.
  2. Need Help Solid white for two-sided decals

Its difficult to do anything Opaque with just the inks. What about just doing a double sided print on a 8oz DSS and apply optically clear adhesive to the face of one side. We've done that with good results.
  3. Everyday Sign and Graphics

    Welcome from 'Joisey!
  4. Anyone using Onyx in Windows and designing on a Mac?

LOL>...I call them power mac...Intel mac...Mac Pro...12 cores...32gig ram minimum...A few SSDs in each...etc. Made me think of my old G4 mac...blue and gray...or the blueberry i Macs
  5. HP 560 Latex vinyl waste

Try one of the 1500 or 3000 latex....6ft of material Just to leader it up! Those have to run roll to roll...at least with the 560 or smaller format ones, you can get the vinyl just out of the heater door and clamp on some weight to avoid much waste. Stand by and attach to the take-up after...
  6. Recommended Router Bits

We started using Belin Bits for aluminum and Composites....nice clean cut and they seem to last. Have had too many issues with the bits directly from Colex lately.
  7. HP 560 Latex vinyl waste

Its not just roll to roll...but sheet stocks are even worse at times. Think about doing odd sizes on 48x96 or 60x120 sheets....makes you want to vomit the amount of waste at times. All of that has to be taken into account when pricing out.
  8. Anyone using Onyx in Windows and designing on a Mac?

We do mostly file processing and a lot less designing. 3 Power Macs as workstation/rips for us is perfect. One unit is standalone for the small latex 560 and drives it directly. Designing on Mac and Ripping PC...the hot folders is where its at.
  9. Suggestions Vinyl supplier

Im sure Bigfish has something...but if you are in the DC area, maybe try Harbor in MD. They have a wide selection of rolled substrates like that.
  10. UV printing not sticking compared to solvent

As state above, the solvent can and will cause the adhesive to soften up some. But it sounds more like a bad roll as well. Try testing out your theory with other vinyls....180 controltak...high tac...low tac even. See what you come up with. We run Latex and UV here and the only issue we have...
  11. Anyone using Onyx in Windows and designing on a Mac?

We use Caldera...its all Mac based. No transferring files...design and rip/print on same computer if you really want to. The Onyx Hot Folder is a good idea ...able to drag and drop directly to that for ripped files with different settings applied and such. Takes a manual step out of the equation.
  12. Poll... Is this site still slow?

safari here....pretty snappy today. Check that! Just hit the "post reply" button for this and it crawled to post.
  13. Liquid lam problem

Its likely the clearshield doest grab enough on the latex inks. We only do large banners or flex faces with liquid....any sticker is roll lam.
  14. UV printing not sticking compared to solvent

What kind of containers? IM figuring that the 2903 isn't aggressive enough adhesive for them? The vinyl doesn't care whether its printed UV or solvent.
  15. Coming back from holiday..

    Yikes.!
  16. What is wrong with S101 today?

Seems to be pretty snappy this morning.
  17. Question Potential Wrap/print job in St Louis

Had an end user inquiry to our website and rather than let it go...figured someone out there could be interested in trying to reach out to this guy??? I have a sample layout provided by him. Im assuming it was done by a sign shop local to him and he's shopping it around. Im not going to...
  18. I need a source for small printed polycarbonate pieces

Have to look into it...but a 3mm bit can be located I'm sure. not a problem...we have a 4mm. How thick on the media? 1/8 or 060? Why not just PETG or similar?
  19. I need a source for small printed polycarbonate pieces

Must be polycarbonate? How large are those holes?
  20. What linerless mesh banner material do you use?

Duratex works well on the larger printers....on my 560 I dont do Mesh at all. The backer causes it to stick and all....not sure of anyone who makes a back-less 54 now. If you do enough, get a large roll and chop saw it in half. I think ultrasuxx was one of the only others to do smaller...
